Unfortunately I'm off the list (Tamsyn). My broken leg put paid to that....but I see the doc tomorrow and hopefully I'll have that S6 flying next weekend! So, the Germany expedition is off for me . However, I'm sure that the rest of the SA crowd will more than make up for my absence with their rowdy behaviour. Your wingsuit canopy (please read the first post before vote)

I normally jump a Hurricane 135 (elliptical, loaded at just over 1.2). For wingsuiting, I've switched to a Pilot 132. The discussion I had with Tonto when choosing a wingsuit canopy, and what it really comes down to for me, is that a large part of the appeal of wingsuiting is about more freefall time, and being up there as long as possible. Which means that I really don't want to jump a canopy that I have to deploy 1000ft higher "in case something goes wrong". I'd rather take full advantage of the flight time, with the canopy ride not being the focus of the skydive. ____________________________ "If there is doubt, there is no doubt." - Tonto -
I think so too - the last wingsuit jump he did was when we flew off into the sunset together on that jump where he got his face stuck against the back of my legwing on exit. sounds like Jeb better watch out.. Would quite happily give up the steel supports to make Germany, but its not looking realistic at this stage. Update: a whole day of phoning UPS every hour and still no suit . They say probably tomorrow. Pierre, I see the doc next Friday and he's doing xrays to see if I can start putting weight on the leg again. It's only 5 weeks since I broke it now, but feeling really good. I'm hoping that it won't be more than 3-4 months out in total (here's holding thumbs!) so that will put me back in the air sometime in May or June. Which is approximately fifteen lifetimes away when you have a serious case of altitude deprivation attacks going on!. Hell, I'm sure I can hook up a rig with a student skymaster in if need be! After all, with such a sexy suit, I'm sure it's not the end of the world if the rig is not that skygoddess-like. ____________________________ "If there is doubt, there is no doubt." - Tonto

Oh no! Did tib/fib as well-both spiral fractures. Tib about an inch above the ankle, fib right at the top. Got the standard titanium nail down the tib with a screw at the top and bottom. No cast though. Dont know that i'll last 6 months out!
