  1. The LOUD SKILLZ Swoop Camp held @ ASC this past weekend was a was by all measures a huge success. Foremost I'd like to thank all of the pilots who atteneded and a special thanks to Christie(sp?) for taking such good care of all of the pilots and shooting some fantastic video. I'd also like to thank ASC and DZM Tyler Lawson for letting me put on this camp. Big thanks to Kat and Katie (the manifest girls) for getting us on any and every load we requested. Huge appreciation goes to Karl our pilot for providing meteorlogical info, math solutions and fantastic spotting all day Saturday and Sunday, and to all the packers that kept us on those loads. Finally I'd like to thank Jay Moledzki for making time in his impossibly busy schedule and helping each and every pilot individually and as a group to better themselves. Participants were: Myself, Dan & G (who drove all the way down from Illinois), Noah Bahnson, Ron Stamey (who was recognized as most improved pilot), Sun Man, Travis Stewart, Aaron Anderson, and Brian Ward. Weather was amazingly cooperative in that as soon as the classroom portion was over on Saturday the clouds broke, and we headed sky side. Sundays weather was even better and we managed 15 training jumps over two days (6 on Saturday 9 on Sunday) with debriefs after every jump. We kicked off the camp working on basic pattern establishment which which quickly turned into turn point positioning in relation to the course and building power in the turn. All of this culminated into firing all of the power built in the turn straight thru the gates and down range. The last two jumps on Sunday were fantastic flocking jumps which challenged each pilot to fly their high performance canopy (median wing loading right around 2.3) in an assigned slot at a controlled speed. After working so hard all weekend to improve our individual skills it was truly amazing to experience just how skilled each pilot was while flying together in the flock. I won't speak for anyone else, but I gained some knowledge, honed some skillz, made some new friends, and had a fantastic time doing it........you know........what skydiving is all about. For those that attended look for another camp coming around again in probably 3 months or so, for those that didn't get a chance talk to those that did, and show up next time. Thanks again to all and swoop safe. Coming soon to a bowl of Wheaties near you!!

Can't wait for Sebastian, for the folks that arrive Friday, after training a bit we should definately try for a beach jump and pay the folks at the Sebastian Beach Inn a visit, they were awesome hosts during the PD Challenge. The drinks are reasonable and the food is good. Hope you can make it up here to Georgia for the competitors camp and squeeze more of that knowledge stuff out of Jay Mo's head. Keep up that positive vibe, and remember not only does fat go fast, it goes far too. I AM WINNING!!!! -Loud Dan Coming soon to a bowl of Wheaties near you!!

  16. WOW!!! That's some pretty powerful stuff. On a side note, that FOX news bit was a bunch of bullshit, I watched the interview as it was being filmed, (I believe One Sun Productions has a copy of the entire interview filmed on a second independant camera). If everyone here is so interested in being fair and everyone being honest, than why is it OK to take an hour long interview that was editted down to 3 or 4 minutes as gospel? Over what? According to the report, a credit card got double charged (this has happened to me more than once at SEARS, hell I was accidentally charged $10,000 for a hamburger once. The second complaint was a little more legit in that he got a 40 second freefall, but honestly how many Tandem Masters have never had to get out lower than the advertised height before, or does everyone make 14,000 every time?? (Arizona not included, due to the amazing weather) I mean if ATC says the jump plane can't go above 12,000 ft and they tell you that on every load what are you supposed to do? There was soooo much left out during the broadcast of that BS it's really a shame. What a lot of people didn't see was Randy Travis ITEAM reporter extrodinair getting frustrated because his facts were wrong and Ben correcting him with numbers that were higher for BBB complaints. A great one was when Randy handed him a complaint regarding a customer that was pissed because they arrived @ 9 am and couldn't jump because it was raining (they didn't want their money back, they were just pissed about the rain). How do you answer that....."Sorry ma'am we're on hold with God as we speak, but St. Peter promises we're next" I'm not defending the Skyride/ B&C thing, but to call that FOX News ITEAM bit journalism is a sham. 17. I am diggity down. I'll be showing up on Friday sometime. Now for the stupid question, where can I buy a flotation device??? I've worn everything from a little inflatible volleyball looking thing to a neoprene vest, what do I need.........yo. I'll bring the Tattoo (Capt. Morgan that is). 24. Soooooooooo we gonna have something like a party to comemerate this fabulous day in history ...........you know the day when some guy named Pat invented the most fantastic place on earth.......The BAR!!! Shortly thereafter he introduced the Bar Fly, the Bar Tab, and the Bar Stool. A little known fact: Pat and a lesser know local woman did some joint research and came up with the "One night Stand", followed shortly thereafter by the release of the terms of "Slut" and "Premature Ejaculator". Try to imagine life today without all of these great accomplishments, (try to imagine Sebastian passing up an excuse to throw a party). Whatdoyasay Wendy? Coming soon to a bowl of Wheaties near you!!
  25. I think having the top ten compete on the longer, narrower course, while applying the percentage math thing, would be a good way for everything to stay competitive, and hell maybe those competeing from the bottom nine could take their shot at McNenny if he shows, on the Pro course.
