I see a guy that was on that 4 & 6 way record around sometimes and bought the video "Der Boose Plan"(sorry I don't have a German keyboard) and it was pretty bad ass. That looked like a real good time. I think the 4-way is on Skydivingmovies.com. I will be sure to bring it back with me this summer to NC.

Shit man, that won't get the point accross. There isn't a German word for BASE that is universal yet though I don't think. Well other than BASE. Here is what I got from it: Ten bad ass sons of bitches freefell 107m(about 320 feet) and took the tile of "The Most Kick Ass People in the World". As I stated before it isn't a direct translation. The regular world only knows how to translate so much. It's up to us to give them new words. Edit: meistertitel means "record holder" or "Title Master" from what I gather.

Those bugs are jsut flat out sweet man. My buddy used to build them and I have taken a few hell rides in some others. We even half blew the motor out of one. Getting it running again isn't really tough though.

That's good advice. Also don't make the boxes too heavy and NO GLASS BOTTLES. It is not above the criminal Military Postal Service to "drop" or "run over" a box or two if it feels heavy or out of place. If you are sending certain DVD's or the like put them in different cases with the title down. I send packages all the time and only twice did I have problems with them. Good luck. That is a pretty cool gesture. -
That is what I used to jump. I only had a few issues with it like not putting a tape in it and a charged battery. No really, I have had a couple riser strikes and once I got a cut-away guide on my Reactor wrapped around the wide angle. I think it is jsut a risk you take having that thing hanging off the side of your head. I see some guys that wear them top mounted. The good thing about having the camera, I have found, is that your face is never on the vid and since you are usually the last one off no one can see ya shittin' yourself before the countdown.

While searching DZ.Com, I have found a poll of the Top DZ's! It looks like the east coast is pretty much kickin ass and I am glad since that is where I hang my rig as do alot of my buddies. First I would like to call attention to the top two: Raeford Parachute Center and Skydive Parkton . I would primarily like to draw your attention to the Number 1 Place Holder Skydive Parkton. Skydive Parkton is a new three year old turbine dropzone that is kickin ass and can handle everything you dish out. Large landing area and super friendly DZO. The new bunk house and facilities are great! Hey John and Kelly congrats on the ranking and if any of you are out on the east side of the country come give the Carloinas a try, specifically Skydive Parkton .

I have not seen any crash tests with them but I had a demo for a while until I had to unwillingly send it to the dealer in the states and can vouch for the quality. They are made from 100% Carbon Fiber with the Quality Padding(non-yellow open cell) and cover the back of your head as well as the other large brands. Unfortunately I was still broke for an afore mentioned reason and didn't get to jump it. I know, however, that many of the huckers here wear them and like them. Maybe I will get to jump one of them in the near future when it gets warm enough for my warm blooded ass, I.E. Less than three feet of snow in the valley. If you have seen any of the Current BASE Town Media Vids you will be able to see some of them in action. So to make a long story short I have not BASE'd one but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

From my experience get above them and grab something. Striking an object sucks especially when there is some more fall to be had with a partially deflated canopy. Get your track down too.

I have the basic yardage pro and it works fine in medium light. if I could find one that backlights the range numbers and crosshair it would be better since I find myself ranging something int he middle of the night then quickly trying to pan over to one of the tower lights to see what it says. Hope this helps.

I agree that in the light of this size of tragedy that the Indian people will need some help. However I think that the military has enough going on right now. The US is a big supporter of the Red Cross and Red Crescent so I figure that would be a more logical set of organizations to support monetarily or personally instead of volunteering our servicemembers into another humanitarian mission along with the two front war that is taking place now. I agree with Diablo Pilot about the "we" thing. We as a nation have a governement that produces a very very tough military but WE don't HAVE anything. Maybe if it were a we thing the military would have alot more people in it and wouldn't be so strung out all the time. Raise your hand if you want to enlist in the miltary to go to India. I think a small donation to the Red Cross will do just fine. Maybe the governement can take it out of the 29% they get from everyone of our paychecks.

Winter ridin', nothing like it. It took an hour and a half to make the thirty minute ride to work the other day and then as first call came and went I was still just sittin' there on the bike outside my office staring at the insides of my frozen Wiley-X's while everyone got a chuckle out if it. I do the warmth through a thousand gators thing too but wish I had the electrical tape on the fag helmet the other day. Anything would have helped. I looked like I was super interested in everything everyone was saying for about three hours after. I mostly hate them so I guess I should get a full face for the winter. Good luck man!
