    I try to get them to show they're cool by geeking video in the door. Give a thumbs up. Getting a three way chunk out the door allows for the facial expression to be there on exit. Check out this week's Flying Arab (Videos / Tandem).(May 15 week) I like to dive to the rear. Head down and 180 back up the hill. Course... I'm talking Otter exits. Nothing like a little freefall before drogue, hence, I don't like to jump into relative wind and deploy drogue right away. My latest "production" is to get the student to take out their gum, stretch it out and get rid of it on command. Make sure they have GUM!! (I'm doing the same thing too!) And you? Russell M.     With regard to "other," I've had students try to kill me by flaring too high or by not letting me go toggles UP to surge. Hence, I'm now leery about letting students handle landings ever, unless it's for training purpose. Big meat missiles on hot days get to help me stall surge land, but with MUCH practice. Russell M.     Mine. EXACTLY 26 years ago I was put out on a cheapo at dusk and ended up dangling from a power line across Highway 380 near Aero Country, Texas. No AAD. No RSL (Stevens). No radio. No signals. (No rated JM either) A month earlier myself and a co worker had gone to Commerce, Texas to ride in a Beech 18 to "fill slots" so Swain and others could do 4 ways. Sandra, the co worker, never jumped.     I'll do flips with "experienced" tandems. That is, those who have recently made a jump. (And request it) It's a learning experience about getting stable.
