Even if that was the case, does it warrent a fully grown man placing his hands around the neck of a young girl? If you are talking about the cop kneeling over the kid at the start of the tape, (A) I already explained that it is not choking in an earlier post, and (B) that is not a girl. If you mean later on in the video when the cop is trying to place the girl with the ponytail under arrest and another kid gets in the middle, I don't think he intended to choke them, but when he grabs them and they struggle, it can happen. He's wrong for letting it get to a choking position, but I don't think he intended to choke them. Either way the hold lasted for maybe a second, total. As for why he ended up with his forearm around her upper torso and possibly neck area, you can look to her resisting arrest and her little friend who screamed at the cop at the top of his lungs. Of course, at that distance (arm's reach), his best bet when dealing with multiple suspects who area resisting is to use OC spray and your radio (to call other units, not to smack them). With the cop-haters and "I have a problem with authority" types posting here squealing about wrestling with the kids, I can only imagine their response to using chemical sprays. MrKennedy! When you think cops where right in these case, you know you are brainwashed, and live in a police state! Yes I know if the kids get free to do what ever they want to do, it will go wrong, but it is also the other way around! each other balance each other to not go to far in most cases! I have no respect for authorities who abuse their power! You can choose to bee silent, you can choose to tell, or you can choose to blindly follow every thing the autorities tell you to, what so ever, because it is the law, or an order. It is your choice! One thing is for sure, this cop is maybe out of his job, becouse of these kids. if so, I would say the kids did a good job, if he cant handle a situation like this in a proper way!!! I was working as an security, and I know how police treath some of their prisoners. We was always on location first, and most of the time already had the suspect. One out of many stories, is we had one burgler wich fight us with a knife, we managed to wrestle him off the knife, and put hand cuffs on him, with no damage on the suspect. We bring him to the office, put him down up to the wall. When police finely come, the suspect starts crying, and telling the police how bad we where to him, and hoped for some sympati from the police (the police do not like we do their job some time, and we are useally not allowed to take prisoners either, so I maybe should followed the law in this case) anyway the police man, smiled to him, and with his full body weight fall down on the mans stomack with his knee, and said, you shut the fuck up! Some of the young police men told us to with a smile that the prisoners had a bad tendence to fall in stairs at the police station, and so it goes on and on. When human beings think that is no risk to be caught, some abuse their power, or they are risk takers who like to balance on the fine edge. Police men need to be controlled by others, and there is nothing better than video evidence.

Just wondering how you where as an kid? You had respect for everything, never asked a question, why things has to be as it is, and accept everything that you are told not to do! There is far out when kids want to play, and do a minor "violated city oridnance" Heck this is in kids nature to push limits, and if there where not people like that, I guess you would never ever jump out of a plane! I have seen how much effort some kids put down to do what they do! And only limit them to a small kindergarden is wiolating their rights. I know it is a law, but sometime you have to get out of the box! All I want you to understand, behavior like this police man show, is way out of his rights, what ever you say. He would earned so much more respect if he had handled this an other way. I have no problem to understand people loose their respect for the law, when they see cases like this over and over again.
