In mocking way? Well, I haven't. edit: Nor would I mind being mocked (being dead) but some living - object to it. It seem redundant too. What goes around, comes later.

You're missing my point, maybe. I may be too sensitive but I find citing dead jumpers inappropriate. It's not a "I told ya so", it's like a billboard which seems worse to me. And I don't see anybody quoting dead old-timers or highly experienced (dead) jumpers. Doesn't seem fair. The one who wants to read and learn will find his way without this, this, well, now you know what I've meant. What goes around, comes later.

Should we make a list of excellent advices from too many people who died too, in similar scenarios? Your point is dégoûté. What goes around, comes later.

I'm no sissy but I couldn't pull it with just left hand. Needed two hands. (1+ second lost) I was learnt to push it away with one hand, full arm lenght. If I was to pull it down, might have been o.k. with one hand. including tucking the cable end into velcro because of this. What goes around, comes later.

chest strap release under canopy
format replied to cucamber's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I prefer loosened chest strap while flying a canopy and I prefer tightened chest strap while deploying main and especially reserve. Can one be launched out of harness during unstable reserve opening with loosened chest strap? It doesn't seem probable but is it possible? What goes around, comes later. -
Landing a plane vs landing a parachute
format replied to gofast_ER's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
So, you are an experienced skydiver and a fresh airplane pilot. If you're to find yourself in an Engine Out situation would you try to land the plane or would you jump? You pick the circumstances What goes around, comes later. -
"Safely" What is that? ("he died safely" because of jump #s) How can anybody expect agreement between two different, unique angles of view? Except if one trust the other. I guess trust is the main issue (inspite 'incidents' statistics) ________________________________ I trust you but it's a long story why What goes around, comes later.

Rotator Cuff (What to Ask/Say to Doctor, Tandem?)

Can't he try to switch the 'pulling' arm? ; and rig? What goes around, comes later. -
I'm known as very conservative. Usually I ask them something like: "What mishap brought you to do this"? Don't know why but they all smile like it was a joke What goes around, comes later.

Oh, suddenly we're so ethical! Reminds me of medicine advancement during history. Technical advancement too. Hell, who would go to Moon and back without 'circumstances' that happened without BSR of any kind at the time. Introducing regulations might reduce loss and will certainly slow progress. Empiricism is still way more effective than theory. Where would skydiving be today, without 'licence to bounce'? In 90's 80's 70's ? What goes around, comes later.

There is a line of Top Notch canopy pilots, a small percentage of jumpers population, I guess you're one of them. None of them had limitation here proposed. It would be great to know how many would have live and how many would achieve as they did, if they/you've had WL BSR (not everyone of them was gradually progressing like billvon did). I bet that majority of present top canopy pilots wouldn't be so 'top' if they didn't have a chance to learn on fatal mistakes of others. Freedom = I die - You learn and go on WL BSR sounds like it will reduce this freedom. What goes around, comes later.

Have any of you gone through this?
format replied to Bramble's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
on 1st, I rolled my eyes so much back that I remember seeing dark cave with three small grey cells in it (some call it brain) then canopy shook me up of that daymare. I've decided to quit jumping if that happen again. What goes around, comes later. -

Whether you've had 100 or 10000 jumps, how would you comment on Your "tactics" of gaining knowledge? Was is it luck, strategy, gender? Height? What was crucial for Your present level of 'wisdom'? What goes around, comes later.

+1 To get this, all you need is one off_DZ landing without any comm. Suddenly, cellphone becomes an integrated part of your gear. What goes around, comes later.

LOOKING for a skysurfing student board
format replied to devarona's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Says who? however, it's much more dangerous than camera so don't expect to wear it before having approved freeflying skills, say like 250 jumps for instance What goes around, comes later. -
