  7. man, there has GOT to be an easy way to poison the dog. I HATE dogs. it dont matter the size. but in my neighborhood, i carry a knife for a lot of reasons. one of the big ones is that 'dog people' like to run or walk their dogs off a leash. if a dog EVER comes at me, and so much as nips my heel. i WILL cut it apart, with no hesitation, no remourse. end o story. but your problem? this is your girls ma? hmm. yeah, call her and tell her to put it into a kenel thats a wee bit too small for the dog for the duration of the stay. -SPACE-

yea, whats the worst that could happen? a mal? well, i have thought about it a bit. walshmans isnt the cleanest of cliffs, so if i did get a 180, and i got hung up, i would have to be rescued, as if i cut away from canopy not only would it be there, but i would bounce off the wall until the rope comes tight. bad -SPACE-
  12. i SERIOUSLY mean no offense by this. (this isnt the bonfire, so im behaving) but i AM a college student. and it seems that a lot college kids are pretty much whores. and they definatly can find blow to go around. but BASE jumpers? they dont do drugs. drugs are bad mmkay?
  13. what a perfect example. i like how the US is a majority rules country, but we dont pick up what the rest of the world is doing because we are lazy and stubborn. -SPACE-
  14. A football field being 91.44 meters in length? 109.73 meters with the end zones? That'd suck. I drink beer from "yards" not from "91.4 cms." Quote beer? that explains a lot. drinking games. -SPACE-
  15. This thread made the terror alert level hop up a notch -SPACE-

that was the idea, but brilliant me couldnt find my cutaway handle fast enough. i guess thats the point of BASE gear cutaway handles though.
  19. WEAK I have exited a plane slider up at sub 300'. Just curious, how fast did you have the plane going on that sub 300' jump? Average, or faster than usual, for the additional forward speed? I thought at first that that sounded ridiculous, but then I was thinking about some ski-BASEers I heard about going off 60' cliffs with a huge run up (read lots of forward speed). Sounds like 300' might be reasonable with proper forward speed. How long was your canopy flight? I really want to find a pilot that will let me out at 500'ish, I had D-Rings sewn on my rig for a 'tirsh' for that reason. (Well among other reasons). In response to you saying that 600 feet is weak, I agree that lower is reasonable. Cessna 205, about 70kts (normal jump run speed) Vertigo Warlock/dagger 222, packed open nose, slider up. 9' bridal, 32" PC. 1 second delay, just to clear plane. canopy ride was about what it would be for a static line from 200'. plenty of time. i turned around and landed into the wind. did it a few times. 300 was the lowest. we lost acces to our plane with an easy jump door, owner sold it. I think lower is possible. over water i would exit at 90kts at 100'.
  20. tornolf is correct. it will be sport liscense required in 2007 -SPACE-

I changed my mind. we are broke. really broke. i feel like shit saying this, but after my accident, i couldnt work for about 8 months. our plan was to buy a whole new settup and have a system with a full 100meter freefall at a new site i picked out. it will be FRASCA III. but now, shit. we just need food for the week. maybe hotels. we will be there no matter what. but these ropes are spendy.
