  1. The reason the rocket failed on the last jump inthat film is the exact reason we hang glider pilots do not use rocket propeled parachutes anymore. (they are called BRS) but that was not a rocket, it was a compressed air canon.

    Traveling with Gear

If you had any balls at all, you would carry it on, and as you get onto the plane, put your helmet on, and the rig on, and sit next to the little old lady, or anyone who looks afraid to fly, and ask them where their parachute is
  3. WEAK! I have a Blackjack 260 with ZP, and a Dagger 222. I have a Mirage G3 built for a 135'^2 canopy. I think it is stretching out the container, but its not like i skydive much. The closeing loop is about 15 cm long. I use it for wingsuiting, i have gotten booted off a dropzone or three for pulling at 500'. luckaly i use a Vampire, and use the leg throwout, with that stuffed container the BOC is pressed against my arse.
  4. Apparently, math isn't one atheist's strong suit. How does 36% equal a majority? Homeslice, Im not even athiest. Im not Agnostic, im not even sure i know what Agnostic means exactly, but i dont believe there is nothing, but i dont believe there is something. I dont know, and i dont care much. Im what me and my Boys call 'a hopefull', I once was flying a Twin Commanche through the grand land of ALASKA for 40 days with my freind Coe, and as we were punching through clouds leaving toward the south, carving though canyons, setting up the 'ground effect autopilot' on the shore, i looked over and said to coe- 'I dont know man, but if there is a god, he is trying really hard to convince us'
  5. I thought they were winning, did i miss something? or is because im pretty damn sure everything out of Homeslice Bush's mounth is a lie. -SPACE-
  6. you guys have NO IDEA how happy i am to see that athiest is the winning category -SPACE-
  7. I love my Family, a lot. My mom and dad did everything for me. and they have accepted that i BASE jump. but i didnt break it to them nicely. One day, I left for the perrine bridge without telling them. after my first 'deathcamp', i walked into my house and told my mom that i had been BASE jumping. she told me that i needed to stop, and never do it again. but i told her that i wouldnt. and that there is no way she could get me to stop, and that she should know that. it took her a year to accept it. She did threaten to kick me out of the house that night, being that i was barely 18. but the next morning she said she wouldnt have.
  8. I HATE interslut acronyms, but it means 'in my humble opinion'
  9. Deathcamp man. followed by joint mentorship. wouldnt trade it for anything.
  10. Hmm... "it depends" (c) I LOVE pin WLO toggles, they are by far the best and fastest slider-up release setup. When set up correctly there is no way in hell they would release prematurely. I haven't had any issues with pin toggles in 1k+ jumps. The new Apex WLO toggles are ok, but not as good or fast in releasing the line. On other hand, i would rather use regular (fabric) toggles on slider-down jumps. Of course slider-downs suck donkey schlong anyway Go fly a wingsuit!!! bsbd! Yuri. I agree with that. I have no problem with pin togles slider up. but I will always use fabric toggles from now on.
  11. the laser measures distance, not height. I have done calculations of angle/distance shit, but i failed college algebra twice, so i try to get to the base of the object. funny, i can do all the seemingly more complex math for Frasca, but i cant get college algebra down. oh well. anyone know where i can buy a degree? not kidding.
  12. P.S.-what happened to the Vertigo Warlock patterns?
  13. My Toggle blow jump was a Double Black Diamond Base jump. underhung cliff, 600', landing area literaly the size of a parking spot, but thinner, rocks all around. trees to small to catch a jumper, but, that day the water in the lake was unusualy high, and i could barely make it there with no brakes. hit the ground in 6' of water. hard. that was my one in 1000. well, one in 230
  14. We have an extra room. pm me if your serious -SPACE-
  15. gravitational force is not equal in all exits, correct. but there is NO way a jumper with ANY commercialy available equipment could tell the differences between the gravitation forces of different places. and air friction is almost nill difference at altitude, especialy low jumps where its all about acceleration. and super especialy because that measurment method only works until air friction becomes a factor.
  16. go try it at the potato, i would keep it. i through my other one when i blew a brake, and i hit the water (6'deep) with a rear riser flare, and i hit the bottom of the lake. HARD. you can figure out the flare with one brake and one riser. its not that bad. -SPACE-
  17. ya, ill get there monday with my crew. we will be doing mostly non BASE Tthings, but we will get a few pizza rock jumps in. -SPACE-
  18. mine are NOT 'WLO' toggles. they are regular risers, but the toggle has a metal straight pin in them to hold the little loop. and i am sure i am setting them correctly. I thought i might have been doing it wrong for the first fire, but now i am sure it is correct after i checked with marta, and the colorado crew. plus, who the hell decided to put MORE metal on a perfect riser set up? the tap stow on ALL other risers os perfect, 'failproof'. whats the point of adding a pin. Morpheus risers now on dagger and warlock.
  19. there is logistical problems with doing that jedi like. footprints in snow, and slippery landing areas/ exits.
  20. Dont get me wrong, I love Vertigo Shit, i swear by the Warlock. but those metal straight pin toggles/risers are horrible. i got 2 fired brakes, one slider off. i should switch those out. like, now. i should get free risers for that. hmmm... i have 15min of rigging to do. bye...
