  1. No, dude, you came into a thread where several times it was requested that we keep it on topic and keep the anti/pro-gun debate out of it, and you made an insulting, asinine statement. Don't try to back out of it now. What you said was inappropriate. Why not start a new thread, "I believe that people who own guns do so because their penises are of inadequate size, unlike my own prodigious member"? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  2. You should do something about it sticking up out of your collar like that, though. Who said anything about guns being penis substitutes? Will your big dick do anything to repel a home invasion robbery? What about women who buy guns to protect themselves against rapists and robbers and abductors? Are they compensating for small clitorises? Gimme a fuckin' break. There's always one in every crowd who, for reasons of his own insecurity, wants to imply that everyone else who owns guns does so because of insecurity. Nice try. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  3. What a shame. It had a bigger IQ then the one in the White House. Probably wanna get a lesson on when to use "then" and "than" before you insult the intelligence of anyone else. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  4. Thus demonstrating that the Democrats are not at all interested in benefiting the country, just hating George W. Bush. Thanks for making clear how intellectually bankrupt your position is. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  5. Anyone who cites a Michael Moore movie or book as having enlightened him or made the world crystal clear for him has got to have a screw loose. That's like watching the Rosie O'Donnell Show and saying that she smartened you up about how to raise a kid. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  6. I guess you slept right through the fuckin' CLINTON administration. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  7. Absolutely fuckin' NOT. The idea of being charged, tried, and convicted for something you have not yet done is abhorrent to me, and should be abhorrent to anyone who cares one iota about freedom. Besides, I couldn't figure out in Minority Report why they didn't FREE people once they had prevented the murder! The crime was never committed, and the time when it would have taken place has passed. Therefore there is no problem. Convicting them as though they DID commit the murder is wrong. How is it different from convicting someone for even once for a single moment considering murder but not going through with it? If the Pre-Crime squad comes in, stops the guy from leaving his house with the murder weapon (if there even needs to be a weapon), and the murder is not committed, and the pre-criminal comes out of his murderous feelings, apologizes, etc. and no longer feels the desire to do the murder (which may have been heat-of-the-moment and not the result of a premeditation) why should he be imprisoned?! The premise is an abomination. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  8. After this post I'm gonna ignore you, because I specifically asked in the thread opener to not discuss the merits of gun ownership in this thread. I thought it was a reasonable and polite request. I personally feel that if you feel that a person who feels it necessary to carry a gun to defend himself is a pussy, you are an idiot. Show me the best streetfighter in the world and if you put him up against some lowlife scumbag who attacks with a gun of his own, or maybe no gun but five friends, the great streetfighter is getting the shit beat out of him, or killed, depending on the whim of the lowlifes. A person who has a gun is not prevented from using his fists. He just has the ability to match an escalation of force. To me, a person is SMART if he avails himself of the best tools possible to accomplish doing a job. I guess I'm not as "macho" as you are. Just smarter. Learn to spell "pussies."
  9. No, I wasn't aware of that. That makes their action more of a gamble than I thought. I hope it pays off. You weren't aware of the militant islamic terrorism and kidnappings that have been going on in the Philippines for YEARS, and yet you were here tellingus that their cowardly actions pulling out of Iraq on the demands of terrorists are justified?? Where the hell have you been? Have you been denied a newspaper for the last ten years?! - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  10. It's not unlikely that the muslim extremists in the provincial islands of the philippines will be willing to try this tactic now that they've seen it work. All they have to do is start by asking for small, trivial stuff, then work their way up. In case you haven't been concerned with that part of the globe, the Philippines have been dealing with islamic terrorism for a long time. It is still a very big problem there. Exactly. All this time, there have been islamic kidnappings of people in the Philippines -- terrorism, you might call it. But in the Philippines, they send out specops troops and they slaughter the shit out of the militants they find! Why suddenly be pussies halfway across the world? Have you read on CNN the articles about how roundly condemned Manila has been around the world for this capitulation? Liberals want to say that everything should be done according to coalition-building and international consensus. Well, the fuckin' international consensus has been "Philippines, don't do this!" and they still did it. What do the liberals have to say now that international consensus says the opposite of their instinctive reaction to pussy-out and run away? By the way, all the Philippines had over in Iraq were humanitarian forces. Why on earth is it a big goal for the terrorists to get non-fighting-forces to pull out?? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  11. It is not elementary at all and can in no way be compared to a child's tantrum. The child is not out to deliberately harm or extort you. Each and every terrorist attrocity, threat and action has to be evaluated on it's own merits. It is simplistic to reason that by the Phillipines having pulled out, they gave in to the terrorists. In this instance their presence was very limited and their withdrawal is likely to have little or no effect on the situation. Terrorists, by definition, terrorise. They do this for a variety of reasons depending on their aims: intimidation, break down of morale, publicity for their cause and so on. The more gruesome their efforts the more of the above they accomplish. Having lived through a very long period of terrorism and having actively fought against terrorists, I have learnt that no country has ever won a war against terrorists. At the end of the day what is needed is communication & negotiation. There is of course also the old adage of One man's terrorist.... When you point out that "terrorists terrorize," you are implicitly stating awareness that the don't play by anyone's rules but their own. So who is to say that once the Philippines get their 51 people back to the islands that the terrorists won't LAUGH at them for being so FUCKING NAIVE, and lop the head off the dude they have hostage ANYWAY?!... The Philippine government is counting on the honesty, integrity and honor of TERRORISTS! This reminds me of a case I read about recently: in Mexico, economic kidnappings have been raging lately. One family paid $600,000 to kidnappers, and found their son executed anyway. Who the fuck would pay a kidnapper now, knowing that a precedent has been set where they kill the dude after they get their demands met?! 12. Flamethrowers are unregulated. Anyone can have one. Are you nuts?! Say that too loud and the liberals will be ALL OVER a drive to ban them! The only reason they're not regulated is probably because liberal anti-weapons idiots are just so damned uninformed about the very things they fear and hate!... Blue skies, - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  13. Isn't this by executive order of the same president who gave China most-favored-nation trade status? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  14. The flat tops are better, you can add a handle, or any number of scopes... Mine has a flat top with a red dot scope, and a flip up rear sight post incase the battery in the red dot dies. I'm gonna want to be talkin' with you if the time comes when I get myself one, then. I'll need advice on how to equip it.
  15. So when liberals bash him for being "dumb," do you figure they're being disingenuous, or just plain pathetic? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  16. For all the good it'll do you against rifle ammunition. Still getting your info from the HCI website? Blue skies, - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  17. Imagine how we guys feel! You think we like outnumbering the chicks?! Blue skies, - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  18. What a piece of shit he is. Irresponsible, habitual-offender driver, took another human life through his arrogant carelessness, doesn't own up to his culpability for it, and now thinks that the American people should have to pay for his fuckup. I really wish someone would run THIS motherfucker down in the street. No, not wish: fervently HOPE. Who the fuck does he think he is, is right. And the fact that some piece of shit magistrate gave this ruling in his favor... I hope a piece of blue ice falls from a passing plane and crashes through his roof as he's taking a shit and splits his skull wide open on the tiles. This kind of thing is sickening. It is NOT how America is supposed to be operating. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  19. Yes, but what I did was ASK if he was because I really am pretty sure I'd seen the accusation made elsewhere. It was not an accusation, no matter how disingenuously you try to allege that it was. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  20. Doesn't really matter if it's millions of people or not. There is no reason to believe that exactly half of the population is of "below-average" intelligence and exactly half are of "above average" intelligence. The "joke" of that statement is based on a fallacy of thinking. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  21. I guess that technically that is a fair answer to my question. I will probably buy some artichokes, a few London Broils to make into beef jerky, and some matzoh meal to make into matzoh meal pancakes. But these are not things I cannot legally buy before the expiration of the "assault weapons ban." - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  22. Don't you know that it won't be the end of the world until Bush is re-elected? - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  23. Easy -- 50% of all people have less than average intelligence. I take your point about Kerry supporters not being very bright but that quip about 50% being below average is mathematically not true. Take five people. Four of them have a dollar each. One of them has 96 dollars. The average amount of money they have is 20 dollars. But one guy (20% of the group) has 96% of all the money, and four guys (80%) have well under the average, each only 1% of all the money. Easy to show that averages do not necessarily split a group right down the middle. That's why that sig line about 50% of people being below average intelligence was never very funny to me. Ironic, but not funny. - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  24. That's a really good question. I hadn't thought of it, but I would like to add the flash suppressor and bayonet lug to my post-ban AR-15... I wonder if it's a simple thing to put add-ons on... - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  25. I like the AR design, but I want a more potent caliber, so I may try to sell my current post-ban AR for the .308 AR-10. There are sooo many optional configurations of it, though. Many are flat-topped for scopes, which I don't really want. I'll have some decision making to do. This all follows the discovery I made that there is an inexpensive, municipal outdoor range on the way to Skydive Sebastian. I haven't taken my AR-15 or my Mariner out to fire since before I moved to Florida in 1997!! Blue skies, - -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
