Well, they knew that they could never allow their tactic of extortionist attacks on legal gun manufacturers to be outlawed, so they poisoned the Protection of Legal Commerce in Firearms Act with an amendment to not only extend but drastically augment the so-called "asault weapons ban." My best friend, who is unabashedly liberal, called me today to tell me that he hardly ever disagrees with Randi Rhoads -- the shrill, shrieking ultraliberal knownothing on AM radio out of West Palm Beach, FL -- but that he was hearing a blast of misinformation from her as she railed against the sunsetting of the ban. He said she was talking about how "our streets will now be flooded with automatic assault weapons that can fire 30 rounds in 2 seconds." He was angered by the way she had to be lying in order to support the ban. Yep, and the bastards make it too cold for some of the women who work in my office. The fiends! Nope. They have these stupid splattery sinks with the sensors and no faucets. One temperature of water: "Florida cold." Even the toilet bowls are automated, and if you don't want your ass splashed (it ain't a bidet, mind you) you have to put a stickie note over the sensor on the wall to keep from inadvertently tripping it. I got rid of my hot water heater altogether. I found that I didn't even really need to heat water that was hot. Imagine that. Instead I got myself a "water heater." (Paid cash, too. I've always thought it looked like an incredible amount of fun. I want to try it, but for now, with 106 jumps, I am having enough fun with just learning to freefly. I have unattached earlobes. For those of you thinking that all ears are "attached," this refers to whether the dangling part of your earlobe actually dangles, or kinda melts right into the side of your head.
