  1. Their ears make exellent key fobbs, necklaces and other unusual trinkets for private adornment. I got a set of bollockes hanging from my rear veiw mirror! Much more interesting than furry dice!
  2. Hows it going? Yeah Ive been having a bit of a hard time with a shoulder injury. All I can tell you is that it could be one of your tendons being over stretched. Thats what I thinks happend to me any how. I still do head up jumps but have strapped the shoulder up when I fly. I get the pain head up and when leaning out of the harness on landings. I would be carefull and strap it up before jumps and if the pain contiunes then give the head up a rest for a while and go see a doctor. Bad Shoulder injurys dont tend to heal well. The last thing your gonna want is a mid air dislocation of a arm!
  3. Well said. " dont shoot speckled Jim" Black Adder.
  4. I say go look at all previous posts. Do a search or something. Im sure its all been coverd before. Theres plenty of slagging and hype to keep you entertained on these forums mate. Enjoy.
  5. Dude if you did the test and have got a major prob with whats going on about certificates then contact Olav. Just guessing, but I think youll probably be alot happier to goboff and bash people on the forums. In either case I wish you all the best.
  6. Hahahahaha! Yeah, most definatly! In fact all my sides are ugly!
  7. Plans are a foot to rectify the situation. Yeah there have been some complications in regards to who recived the certificates and who has not. The move of the First School from the US to Europe and other factors means there has been a sizable delay in the issue of the test certificates. It will be sorted.
  8. If skydiving is still around. Hopefully by then we'll have something even better to train with. Atleast the tunnels don't have licenses you have to pay for to test with by a single person...who also keeps all the money that the licenses generate. I can see where your coming from on that point.
  9. Yeah fair one about the tunnel. Im sure that developments like the tunnle are definitely going to kick things into overdrive. Still dont mean that the test is a bad thing. Im pretty sure that the IBA have some form of structured program for flyers to go through before you can just run in the tunnel with bunch of guys flying headown in there. Pretty much sounds as though you must show you have a certain skill level before you get signed off to go bust some headown flying in the tunnle. The test is there as a yard stick. Pure and simple. I would say that to go in the tunnle and test your self is far safer than doing a ball test even if the flying style of regular flyers differs a little but the whole process has far less implications than jumping a ball. I suppose you'll be on here in ten years time telling people that going through a tunnle progression sytem is all about ego and is a money making scam. also that flyers skill levels have grown to a point that it amazing and that you can get coaching from a top freeflyer without doing any tests. The fact is there will always be tests to show others that they can trust you and to give people the confidence to move onto bigger and better things. the Airspeed thing? Thats just silly! Like you say its all about evolution. but just because something is a little old still dont mean it has lost its purpose. Farari testerossa was designed in the 80's I bet they can still go pretty fast though?! Huh.
  10. I would suspect the reason that "champion freeflyers" dont jump the ball much these days is because they lack a place to do this type of jump safely and that any ball jump no matter how experienced the ball master is, still has the posibility of things getting complicated. Most good freeflyers realise that jumping with the ball is a big responsibility so in most cases they dont do it. I'll think you'll find that most of the top freeflyers actually have a AD license and if they dont, would have still jumped a ball at some stage. The fact that you dont see many of the top flyers advocating doing the AD tests is probably more to do with the fact that by getting a AD license you are going through a particular school to be recognised. Nobody bigs up the competition, its not good business. This still dont mean the ball test is not a valuable test. coaching with the ball? Probably not such a good idea! I dont think thats the point at all. The test in it self is sound and completely non biased. Give me a badge, certificate pat on the back, I dont really give a s##t. But at least I know that by passing the test means I can do a number of concurrent activities headown or whatever under a little stress and in a structured frame work. The ball test were designed so that people that passed would understand they had a certain level of flying making things in the early days alot safer. i.e. big ways... It must be great jumping in a place where every body is so good and sure of their flying that they dont need any form of structure to their progression. I wish I jumped there. Actually you've convinced me. yeah fly free. having some form of skill measuring device for skydiving what a rubbish idea! yeah ball test is all about Ego.
  11. Why would something that gauges a flyers skill in 2000-01 be useless now? The ball is still a valuable tool when used in the right hands and is still the only non biased freefly test you can do. 3d award whats with that? Ball test, you either do it or you don't and even if you cant do it you can get a pretty good Idea of how far you have come and how far you have to go. All the ball test are intended to do is add a little structure to a individual freeflyers progression. Its just a shame its a bit of a nightmare finding people who will give out the tests.
  12. The Chickas did an out standing job! Well in! Also a big Congrats out to Andy. Thanks for flying the flag and kicking ass!
  13. Hey you guys should check out www.outbreak-freefly.com enjoy
  14. I sort of hear where your coming from but I wouldnt gob off untill your the guy that can turn all the points in all positions and axis with the speed and precision of good RW flyers. Im sure that when your able to do that your tune will have changed. Get back to us in 10 years or so. Freefly Nazi's. Thats so 90's.
  15. Yeah mate that one was easy remember. I just told you to cut down on the self gratification from five sessions a day to two. Oh and its more like three legs than three arms mate. Cut my legs off at the knees and call me tripod.
  16. I wonder who this is. Obviously the most notorious man in British freefly. The man whos name we dare not mention. (Not voldermort, but close) There realy is no need for appreciation as I've done f@*k all! Thanks all the same though.
  17. Dont bother mate. There expensive and I dont think you can fold them flat. Oh and the vents are too big! Do you Remember this mate? "Hey piers, do you want to be an American?" "No why?" "Then why do you want to wear Shades for freefly!? Wear googles!" Hahahahahaa Have you checked out the racing jackets, I think they were a bit better. Not too sure though. Fashion Vs function............
  18. Barry is in Lillo he runs a AFF gig down there. I was at Lillo for a while with Mikey Carpenter who was running the Euphoria school there. Anyways mate If you need a place for the Missus to chill I wouldnt recomend Lillo for more than a month. Good DZ but theres not much else happening buddy. You should meet up with my guys in Seville if your going down there mate. Tip your hat to Jim or Mike at the freefly school for us. Im sure they run programs at skydive spain for what you need to do, check it out. You still kept in touch with Beasly? Good guy. I thought he stopped jumping and got back into fast bikes? All the best mate, see you for tea and medals at the BIAP. Andy

  21. Hey everybody, Ive been watching supertroopers and something just sprung to mind. "Fedykins Shenanigans are usualy cheeky and fun, Sandscripmasters Shenanigans are cruel and tragic, Which makes them not shenanigans at all, really." "Eeeeevil shenanigans!" "I swear to god Ill pistol whip anyone who says shenanigans again!" Dont get all stressed out about Trolls dudes!
  22. Cheers Buzz. The reason for the offer of free coaching was made because I worked 5 minutes up the road, you know where. RAPA on the other hand is not in close proximity and a little out of my way. Of coures I still have ties with the Brit Army/Artillery,So the offer of coming over to BFG to teach remains open. Would like to go back and see how the guys at RAPA are getting on? All the best and I wish you luck in your new job.
