  1. Cool thanks Gremlin, I will probably give Netheravon a skip on saturday, but thanks a lot anyway. If I go anywhere it will probably be on sunday (if its sunny) Will probably go to hinton just cause I am already a member there. What is the closest train station to Netheravon? Maybe I can head down there another time. It looks good cause they have some nice planes and the jumps are cheaper there. Mathew, thanks for those encouraging words about dragging me up there
  2. Cool thanks, ye the Symbi suits look really nice actually, there is a pic on their site. I might wait untill the next time I go up to Hinton. Who said the weather was good on Sunday? The weatherman says its raining.. M.J
  3. Ye its london in England. Cool, thanks for all the responses guys. I might head down to Headcorn to get measured up for a suit. I have had a look and it is actually a lot closer than I thought it was. Nick drop me line if you know that Paul floyd guy is going up to Hinton and If I am not sorted out with something by then I might go up there. TonySuit are quite nice aren't they? cool, thanks guys M.J
  4. Cool thanks guys. Ye I thought that maybe somebody had a small skydiving section in a outdoor shop or something like that. Oh well. Will have to wait. Its quite a long way for me to go to Headcorn just to get a jumpsuit so will probably wait untill I am next at a DZ. cheers
  5. Hi there Does anybody know of any Skydiving shops in the london area? I want to buy a jumpsuit and a helmet but not the kind of thing I want to buy online. thanks M.J
  6. I try to put them on at the last minute but they still mist up pretty quick. They also mist up under canopy though. I have looked around on the net a bit and found a anti fog spray. Its for the inside of swimming goggles but I am sure it will work fine. It was only £4 so no stress if it doesnt work. I am sure it will though. Amour all, never head of that. I don't think you get that here in the U.K. thanks
  7. Cool, Will give those a try. Will also look around for some anti fog stuff, thanks.
  8. Hi Do any of you guys have problems with your goggles misting up in the plane all the time. Also under canopy. Any suggestions on how to stop this from happening? thanks
  9. Hi there, I recently completed my AFF a few weeks ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!! I haven't got too much to add that other people haven't already said. But one thing that I found that helped was just to slow down... When you are in freefall going through your drills and tasks, do them slowly, avoid the temptation to race through them. It helps a lot to shout out everything, it helps to slow things down when you shout them out, don't try and hurry though them. The levels have been designed to give you enough time to complete what you are supposed to do. Also another thing, which helped me hugely was to get a video. It was just a coincidence but I decided to get a video on one of my levels, level 5 I think and I failed that level, it was the only level I failed but when I watched the video I could see straight away why I failed. After looking at my Altimeter I was keeping my hand higher than my other hand which was causing me to start spinning. I didn't believe my instructor at first but when I watched the video It was blatant!! I retried the level after watching the video and did excelllent!!.. Also as mentioned by everyone else, relax, relax relax!! Also remember target fixation.. Which means, where you look is generally where you are going.. So if you are looking to your ight you are probably going to start turning slowly to your right etc etc.. That helped me a lot when doing my 360 deg turns etc.. Anyway hope it helps. M.J
  10. O.k cool, see what you mean. thanks for that. M.J
  11. Hi people I am reading the articles in the safety section about double openings, especially this section here: Can somebody please elaborate on what they mean where it says: *** Note:Certain reserve static line lanyards may have to be disconnected so as not to foul the reserve parachute when the main is disconnected. How can it fowl the reserve? thanks very much. M.J
  12. Hi there do any of you guys do camera work full time (as a job) Also how many jumps do you think before you are good enough to do camera work? M.J
  13. Hey guys how you all? Ye it sucks hey, I completed my AFF and have done a few extra jumps on top of that. I did my AFF in South Africa a few weeks back when I was on holiday there, now have come back to the U.K and its winter here so not much chance to jump. I can't sleep, I can't concentrate at work, I find myself straying from my work at hand and find myslef surfing the net looking for skydiving gear and pictures and video clips.. I think I am going to go insane!!! Does anybody know if there is a way that you can quit your job and only skydive?
