Markj replied to BlueBird180's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I just downloaded the lutz clip from skydivingmovies.com go to the From Tv Section and the clip is called '4freefall_t1.rm ' The downloads seem to be quicker now. -
That's sweet! If I give you my address could you mail me one also? thanks M.J

I got quite nervous on mine also, I think just the thought of you being much lower altitude which makes your more nervous. It was cool though. M.J
-
Ye, exactly, its very similar to a porter, Its quite a cool plane actually.. cheers M.J
-
I jumped out of one of these this weekend, It was pretty cool, It looks like a porter but it isn't. Its called a SMG-92. It was really quick to altitude.. .
-
I also did my AFF in South Africa, I manged to finish it quite quickly cause the weather was pretty good, I could have done it quicker if there was more people to jump, I was doing it during the week and there wasn't always enough people to fill the plane so had to wait around a lot. I am sure it would be alright if I went to a bigger DZ were there were more people jumping. M.J

Ye maybe you are right, I will have to give it some more thought then, I am not going to be buying it for a few weeks still so untill then will just have a think about it and decide what will be best for me. Its going to be my Xmas present to myslef cheers

Good point, I am not a very big person no, + - 65 kgs I am not sure how baggy the suit is going to be, I will have to find out from who I get the suit from. decisions, decisions.. I will have to give it a bit of thought. On that note has anybody bought a Jumpsuit from Icarus.co.za? http://www.icarus.co.za/jumpsuit.asp If yes do they have any photos? cheers
-
I know that I will need to get fairly good at RW before I can really even think of FF, but hopefully I can do all that practice on my belly in my FF suit that I get. Hopefully it should be alright. If I change my mind half way though I will look around for a 2nd hand RW suit, I am sure I could pick one up for fairly cheap. thanks M.J
-
Cool guys, thanks for all the responses, I would defintely like to have some experience in both RW and FF but I think that I might try do more FF so I will probably buy the FF suit first, As you guys say you learn RW with a FF suit but its probably not suited as much for the job as a RW suit. If I end up really enjoying RW I will probably try get another jumpsuit for that also, when I get some extra money
-
I have completed my AFF and want to order myslef a jumpsuit but can't decide whether or not to get a Freefly suit or a RW suit with grips. I have not done any RW or Freeflying but I am sure that freefly is the way I wan't to go so I am probably thinking of getting a freefly suit. Im sure that many of you guys/girls have been in the same boat so just wondering if you had any suggestions or comments. thanks

How far do YOU drive to get your skydiving fix?
Markj replied to schattenjaeger's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have to travel about 2hrs 45 mins, door to door. That sucks. Thats by trains btw not in a car. M.J -
Hehe, its amazing what some new students do, I saw a student cut away on her first SL jump because she had line twists, I think she thought she had a mal. I think she was a bit shaken up. M.J
