I work as a CNC machinist for a local business in Golden. We manufacture a robotic telescope mount which is the jam, and thus affords the business to pay me well. :4:2 4 excellent jumps (2 on saturday, 2 on sunday) 2 cases of beer owed, because I did my A license check dive with DJan (and passed), and jumped my very first own pack job on that same dive. It has been my experience thus far that most other jumpers are very welcoming, irregardless of age. However, I would definately agree that there tends to be a little bit of a lag at the beginning due to the amount of people that come and begin some student training, and then quit. But, once this point in the road has been crossed where they know you're there for good, it does feel much more friendly and welcoming. .jim "Don't touch my fucking Easter eggs, I'll be back monday." ~JTFC

Hey all, I saw a radio controlled skydiver on here a while back, and was interested in finding the link again, I searched for it, but came up missing. It was a couple of guys in Europe, and I believe they had produced a scaled copy of the stilleto. Thanks!

I'd have to respectfully disagree with this attitude. If you feel this way, why can't they? In all seriousness though, when headed to a new DZ, why not make the 5 minute effort to run around and introduce yourself. On one hand, yah, everyone should put forth that effort to greet someone new. It's an awesome feeling to get that recognition, and to "join in the group". But on the other hand, sometimes people aren't so inclined to talk to the person sulking in the corner, right? Hey All, Into my posession have come two big boxes full of stamps and older currency (non-US). They've been sitting in a dark, dry basement for years, and I was told to get rid of them, and enjoy any profit. The problem being, I know little if nothing about any of this stuff, but wouldn't mind turning it into skydiving cash. Any suggestions regarding cataloging these things for sale, and what might be good references to their worth? Hey Daizey! The portion of foot you're using for contact while running is usually controlled by a couple of things (ankle/calf strength/balance). Having run 800's for track/cross country, I also tended to be a toe-runner. There is nothing wrong with this, and I've heard (though no specifics) that staying on the toes reduces impact wear to the knee. Personally, I've found it to to be a much more powerful stride than full-foot contact, though results may vary. .jim "Don't touch my fucking Easter eggs, I'll be back monday." ~JTFC
