I'm having that exact same problem! Sometimes I can hear whoever I'm talking to, but the words don't sound like the correct ones, or sometimes even words at all. I wondered why this was, and the way you put it makes sense. I'll definitely look into a doc appt as soon as possible. Thanks for the info guys.

If you don't talk about it, then it will happen. New WFFC attendees don't realize how dangerous it can be. If we let them know they could be dead before the end of next week, then they could prove us wrong. Never tell anyone this sport is safe, it will come back to haunt you. I never push anyone into jumping, in fact, I push them away from it (I used to be the opposite). Then if they want to jump they are doing it with full knowledge of what happens and what could happen. Plus they are now doing it for themself, instead of for me. Newbies evangalize the sport, veterans don't. There are reasons for that. Like Phreezone said - there will most likely be at least one more dead skydiver next week at Rantoul. That is the hard facts about the sport. Let your friends be concerned, tell them why you do it, and do it only if you want to. Being scared in this sport will keep you alive. Never forget how dangerous it really is. BTW - I have considered a DNR as well after seeing some terrible stuff. Gotta love Super Duck Puncher 3! The graphics were classic! I didn't like the flashlight at first, but now I find it adds to the game. My initial impression was just ok - there was a lot of stuff I had already seen. But I just got done playing two more hours and I can admit I am loving it, and it scared me a few times. Those freaky voices in surround sound get me every time! Got home last night and my roommate was playing Doom 3. I finally got a chance to test it out as well. I think it was really worth the wait - at least the bit I have seen so far....and he is only running it on his midrange system until his x800xt shows up. I didn't want to further the arguments on this thread - but there were people pulling themself off of big ways and in between team jumps that were helping out people that we asking for it. I'm sorry Robert or anyone else had a bad time, if I knew he was there I would have found a way to afford a jump or two with him. I wasn't able to help anyone out this weekend because I am lacking jump funds this season, but that is yet another excuse. I can tell you first hand that isn't true. Mistakes happen at all boogies, they can sometimes be fixed on the spot or corrected so they don't happen again next year. I've helped organize three boogies and they are very stressful things to put together. I can only imagine how hard a 10 day boogie is to organize. I worked at the first Summerfest on the ground crew - it's a complicated event to run even when everything is happening as planned. I'm pretty certain the points in these posts have made it to the right people and they are working on it. And Venezula I don't agree with that. I'd prefer to spend that money investing on alternate fuels and preserving our land. Drilling here at home will not remove our dependance of oil from the world. Resistance training? Recovering from an injury? Warm up? Just starting a training program and can't jump to triple digits yet? I tend to think you don't have the whole story just by looking at them. And maybe that big guy knows you can't do spot reduction but he was just doing his ab routine? Bigger guts equal sore lower backs and increasing the strength of your abs will help balance out the load. I have had two personal trainers tell me to work with weights between 75-100 lbs for all my workouts. That weight is very easy for me, until I do a ton of reps (once again, what I was told to do). I'm sure you would judge me, but then again you won't know that I am recovering from injuries that prevent me from lifting more without harming anything. Trust me, I can lift a lot more than 100lbs, I just don't want to be in any more pain just so I can make guys in the gym happy that I am power lifting. It is this attitude that will keep newbies out of the gym. Be glad they are there and trying to improve! If you see something they are doing wrong and may hurt themself, maybe you should offer some advice.
