That is kind of scary. I worked as a Sexual Assult Response Team member on campus last semester and actually had a call one night. That was pretty intense for me as well as the caller. I'd imagine it would be pretty alarming to call a number that should be a rape crisis number only to hear phone sex garbage. That certainly isn't what you want to hear after going through something so horrible. ~skysprite

I'm going to be alone on Thanksgiving this year as well. I'm not going home because I have a night class tonight that doesn't get out until 9. I also fly standby, so naturally I can't guarantee I'll get back when I'm supposed to, and considering I have my first final on Monday, that wouldn't be a good thing. Thanksgiving is nice and it would be nice to be with my family, but this is the difficult time in the semester when students are always so busy. As cliche as it may be, I'm buying a hungry man turkey dinner or something and eating that tomorrow. ~skysprite

Ha! Caught the little shit this morning! His dead little body is now lying in the dumpster outside my apartment building. I'm still leaving the traps and poision out just in case. (I friggin hate mice) Now this thread may take its cue from the mouse and die along with it. ~skysprite

I was put on vicodin last year when I had an ovarian cyst. The doctor managed to rupture the cyst during the first exam in which he found it and didn't know he ruptured it. I went home in major pain (my friend kept trying to cheer me up and make me laugh, which only hurt worse ) and had to come back the next day for an ultrasound. Then they figured out it had been ruptured and gave me vicodin. It didn't do squat for me. It didn't do much for the pain really - it just made me sleepy. I ended up missing damn near a month of school over the whole mess (miscommunication between doctors, the original hospital losing my files and what not etc), but still came out of that semester with a 4.0. Yep, I'ma freak. ~skysprite
