I totally forgot to mention in my previous post! Once again this has done wonders for me. I would not have been able to do this at the beginning of the year... I wouldn't have been able to have gone two feet without stopping! BUT I'm joining a soccer team this summer! Yay! So y'all get to cheer for me and my new team, MC United! Meeting with them on Sunday to discuss details. ~skysprite

It's May 1st Belly-Offers/Sexification Participants!
skysprite replied to skysprite's topic in The Bonfire
Sure. I tried to stay between 1200 and 1500 calories daily. I tracked every single thing I ate on FitDay. Along with that, I went to the gym 3 to 5 times a week. (I went 4 days most weeks.) My usual gym workout was 33 minutes cardio on the eliptical, including cool down, and I'd increase resistance on both easy and difficult parts as I got better. I would also increase the time spent doing cardio when I could do it and had the time to do so, but more often than not I stuck with the 33 minutes. Every other day I would do upper and lower body resistance training on the lifecycle machines. (Upper body one day, lower body the next, upper, lower.) When I did lower body I'd do abs too. I was the worst about doing ab work though. I hate it. I need to get better about that!! I also didn't push myself too hard with the resistance training, so that's something to improve as well. My sister is currently training to go into officer's training school with the Navy. I'm still slower because I have to pace myself, but I can outrun her when it comes to distance/endurance! ~skysprite -

Hmmm. Back in the day I looked and felt great when I weighed about 140, so that's my goal right now. Will get there then reevaluate and see what I want to do. Was about 145 in the attached pictures. ~skysprite -

25-30 lbs, depending on which scale you believe. I've been using three (two diff readings at home, and a diff reading at school). I'm trying to get an appointment with the personal trainer I worked with in Feb so I can get another body composition test done to compare to Feb. Once I do that I'll update with the body fat % lost. ~skysprite -

Sweetheart, when you get carded for an R-rated movie on your 30th birthday, then you'll feel like I did... I'll be sure to think of you when that happens in another 7 1/2 years! ~skysprite

Kenny McCormick Your a needy poor little person. Very kind hearted but at the same time can be very devious and cruel. It really just depends on your mood. ~skysprite

Sure! I'm making changes to the first draft at the moment and will turn in the second draft next week. I'll have one more chance to make changes based on those comments, then the final will be turned in on May 7th. Hopefully I'll be completely happy with it by the final. SBS - Yes, of course! Maintaining a girlish fallrate requires effort, right? ~skysprite

I've narrowed my titles down to two. I'm about 90% sold on one over the other, but I thought I'd let you all have a go, for some crazy reason. So what'd I write about? My thesis basically looks at anorexia in a historical context as it, and the advent of the internet, leads to the emergence of the Pro-Ana movement as the next logical step in the evolution of anorexia, on the part of the sufferer. I explain how the internet allowed for the introduction of the largely unacceptable notion of celebrating anorexia and bulimia, in the form of the Pro-Ana movement. Additionally, I argue that the internet may have particular significance for adolescents who feel marginalized, because it provides a low-risk venue for finding and communicating with others who share their perceived or real differences. Stemming from this, I look at the culture, and community building aspects of Pro-Ana from the beginnings of the movement dated around 2000, to current definitions, ideologies, and trends found in various websites, blogs, message boards, MySpace pages, and You Tube videos. (I don't make any claims as to the rightness or wrongness off Pro-Ana, rather I'm simply looking at the culture behind it.) ~skysprite

Thanks guys! Nothing like sleeping most of the day away! When I woke up again I didn't feel nearly as shitty as this morning. And I think swallowing all the remaining vitamin C in the house has helped some too! Now I get to go write two papers, prepare for a ten minute presentation for my thesis, read about six articles, and study for a math test. ...I think I feel sick again. ~skysprite
