Quite possibly the biggest understatement I have heard in a while LisaMarie- If you have a good sized box from any of your presents you can put in the fireplace, at least if it fell down and was dead it is easy body removal or if it were injured most likely (or maybe hopefully) would be unable to climb out of the box. The eight reindogs! Nine weeks old. They eat 10 pounds of food a day, their vaccines are expensive, neutering them is going to cost a small fortune. They need to have shelter built. CNS (central nervous system) NOT psycological the position is physically possible ie they are able to for a neurologic dog the stimulus is neurologic for a non-neurologic dog the stimulus would be food, person, bird, horse about to trample its head in, etc ,etc. you are pretty bored again today huh? dont you have a car to work on or something?? i can barely figure out how to resize the darn pics to get them uploaded like i said, a neurologic dog cant torque its body into any position not otherwise possible (they dont bend their joints backwards or anything) but if you refuse to believe science, then i guess you will continue to believe in your 'faith' of choice Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

given that even dogs with CNS (diff from psychological) disorders can not put themselves in any position not otherwise physically possible, with the correct external stimulus (ie a reason to look) yes they can look up some from quite a young age Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...

Actually, they are quite capable of this. There is a posturing called stargazing that you see quite often in dogs with CNS disorders (distemper, epilepsy, meningitis) in which the dog in a sitting position raises its nose perpendicular to the floor and gazes around the ceiling as if to say ' oooo look at the shiny things'. The stimulus is neurologic, but they can physically put themselves in this position. Hope this helps
