  1. Really, ya know I didn't know that. I have a lil over 3 years since my first jump, 1 year is how much I've actually jumped. (gone for army sometime). But thanks Cpt. Obvious. Where's your ship?
  2. Joined the ARNG when I was 18 a little under 1 1/2 years ago. Thought it would be sweet to have them pay for all my college. Now I'm also in ROTC which gives me even more money. I hate missing skydiving weekends to go to drill though. Sometimes I question why I joined. But once it's over I'll be glad I did it.
  3. intricacies of bernoullis theorem?if the lav will suck you out with the blue juice? so how about it?
  4. I didn't say I'd seen a side-spin out of a 182, was just using that as an example for smaller aircraft.
  5. Yeah it's pretty intense, but I still want to be a tandem master
  6. Not sure if I should post this here, but...Do you think one aircraft would be more likely to cause a tandem side-spin than another? Example: an otter compared to a 182? Just watched the Strong phenonima of side spin vid and it seems like having faster wind coming off the prop of an otter would be worse than that coming off a 182. I don't know though. I don't have my tandem rating or anything, just planning on getting it. (Oh yeah, 24 more jumps!).
  7. Hey, At my DZ one guy has a cutaway harness and we'll hook up the chute backwards and do CReW. It's pretty cool. And it feels super weird to do a hard turn facing the wrong way. There is a clip of it on skydivingmovies.com Just look under the Landing and Swooping. Then on the 2nd page it's the "Section 8 Eugene Skydivers". It's pretty sweet.
  8. Hey, I don't know really what the rules are where you are. But, here in the US, with not jumping for a year and only having 60 jumps, you'd need to get some re-currency training. Even "experienced" skydivers who miss a year or more should get some re-currency training. Check out section 5:2 of the SIM if ya want. 5:2... http://www.uspa.org/publications/SIM/2005SIM/section5.htm#52 clicky?
  9. That is disgustingly funny.

    DONE!

Heh, I wish I could say the same. Taking 24 credits is really killin me. And I still don't know why I'm going to college!
  11. Hey, Just kinda curious if there is a best female freeflyer? If so, where is she? Or, is there any female at your own DZ that you think is hot shit? When I say hot shit I don't mean a girl you think is hot at your dropzone. Just that has some skill.
  12. If ya think about hittin at ~150 mph opposed to 1,000mph it's not so bad. And I don't have balls, but I probably am clinically insane.
  13. OK, cool. Nobody at my DZ does Birdman though Hey Kirk, do you know what that suit I jumped of Steve's was?
  14. Hey, what is a good beginner's suit? GTi, Skyflyer, classic?
  15. True True Why don't you put an icon on yer thing? Like what mine is. All the cool kids are doing it.
  16. Hey, I can fly on my head and lard ass alright. I just want to perfect some things a lil more. Sorry Stu, you play too rough. If you want to get a dock in just put out a hand, don't have to take me out. Plus, I'm not even sure I'd go anywhere, just wanted to know who is around. Oh and Stu, I have another dive planned for us. We should be able to handle it.
  17. Hey, Anyone know if there's any great FF coaches close to Oregon? If so, who? And what DZ to they reside?
  18. ANWR is NOT the answer. China is the biggest reason for this oil crisis. Let's blow up China. They're taking our oil! Bastards.
  19. Hey, Thanks man. What/Where is the West Coast Skydive thing? That sounds totally cool. It kinda cuts into my finals week at school, but who needs to take finals anyway? I'll try and make it if it's semi-close.
  20. Dude, why don't you accept private messages? Anywho, I hope you'll see this. I was wondering if when I come up to SDO, prob beginning of May, I could jump your wingsuit again. Also, is Dan still alive? I haven't heard from him in for-ev-er. Oh yeah, this is Kim, that one girl from Creswell, if you forgot. If anyone that jumps at SDO see's this, please tell Steve to check this out.
  21. Jump # 14 I started doing tons of solo's teaching myself to sit. Then when I thought I had it down (jump 39) I did some 2-ways to get some feedback. But, I'm not the best on my belly. Did some RW jumps and once went to a sit when the exit funneled.
  22. Whatever Stu, I know your scared of the dark, just admit it.
