Being honest is being "mean" to a lot of people these days. That said: When someone is nice to me, I am nice to them. If someone is a bitch or asshole, I'm an asshole back. If someone is being stupid I tell them they're being stupid. If someone is being awesome, I tell them they're being awesome. I treat people the way I want to be treated but I also treat people the way they treat me. I'm the same way in real life.

Can you take them to court then? Personally, an $8,000 quote on a vet bill and I'd put my dog down, but it sounds like there might have been malpractice in this case? I'd see what I could do about getting the faulty vet to pay for the mistake.

It's not so much an issue of being sensitive as keeping the discussion at a certain level. We have already seen how fencing matches have dragged debates downhill. If two people can just go back and forth wasting perfectly good bandwidth saying "fuck you asshole" for 3 pages people will not want to filter through all that to get to the discussion. THe moderation of that actually makes this an excellent forum (even speakers corner). I agree, however, the mods here take it WAY overboard. I was warned for a PA once because I said "tard".

I knew it!! My wife would most certainly agree with you. There's something complete and primal about it, like TOTAL acceptance of the other person, body and soul! The same goes for me kissing him after he goes downtown. HOT!
