It makes me laugh how many people think a free service on the internet should cater only to their wants and needs, not taking into account the wants and needs of other users or even the site owner. It makes me laugh how many people have no clue that they are being completely predictable in how they react to attempts by the site owner to make the forums a pleasant place for people to hang out (read this if you're wondering where that comes from). And it really makes me laugh when people who spend hours a day here (thus proving that they like the "overmoderated" atmosphere) sometimes spend an awful lot of that time complaining about it. Maybe I should become a premium member. Then I could complain about whatever the fuck I wanted since it's no longer "free".

Actually, the owner can do as he pleases with his boards regardless of what anybody thinks about any rules that may be in place, now or in the future. And there ain't a damn thing any of us can do about it. Sucks, doesn't it? It makes me laugh how overly moderated this board is.

In going along with what you just said - I will have to say that [in many instances] children are better behaved than adults... I recently had a discussion about this with my best friend - at first, I was puzzled & didn't know what to make of Martin's statement, but as we continued I understood what he was saying. For example, tell a kid "don't play with matches" or "don't touch the stove" etc, etc and odds are that child will listen (most of the time anyway.) Now, switch gears and look at adults - we do exactly the opposite of what we're told... I.E. I can't count how many times I've seen some douche bag smoke a cigarette at the gas pump or smoke in the non smoking section of a restaurant. Not littering is another one - but does anyone care? - no. There's a whole list of things i could pull out What was I not listening to?

I have nothing personal against you, but it does come across as though you're just trying to be a nuisance with some of your posts. Personally, if I didn't like the way things were handled around here, I'd leave rather than keep complaining about it. But that's just me. I posted a legit question to compare the results with another board. I don't care that it was deleted, really. What I think is lame is that there is no reason why.

I'm not even getting that much. I don't see what the harm is in just saying why it was deleted. *shrug* But hey, if there is absolutely no reason, I guess there's no reason. Oh well.

What was there to sift through exactly? It was a simple poll asking if you sit or stand when wiping. How is it any worse than orgasm threads? maybe that's the reason. Maybe the powers that be would rather not have ass wipe threads on the forums. just maybe Interesting. So we can talk about fucking and orgasms all day long but mention how you wipe and you get the axe. Got it.

I can understand why that one would be deleted, but it's to get the attention of whatever mod deleted the first one and to get a reason. Without knowing what the reason was how am I supposed to know what NOT to post? What broke the rules? The poll? The subject matter?

PM every mod asking who did it and why? I actually tried that once and still was ignored. I might have missed the part in the rules that say you can't post a poll about wiping?

Must be. But seriously, it's lame to delete someone's thread and not tell them why. And then when they ask why, you delete that thread too and never give them an answer. I think it's something personal, but I'd like to know either way.
