actually, I corrected myself and said how many christian terrorists act because of religion. I would say IRA and ETA don't qualify. Clinic bombers do. Most terrorists fight for separation/their own land. Some use religion for a cover. Few Christians act because of it. Islamic terrorists on the other hand, tend to see religion and actions as going hand in hand. both of you should remember a pull up cord isn't going to help if they open your reserve. You need to stay calm and tell them not to open it without a supervisor. I'd tell you to print out the TSA guidelines on parachutes, but hidden in that page is a line saying a screener can open a parachute. Whether you have the card or not, a putz in a red coat can demand you open it. Get the card from Cypress if you can. A photocopy or website printout might be helpful as well. If you keep it with you and a TSA redcoat tell you to open it, ask for a manager. I'm less concerned with travel arrangements than the "selection process." It would more aptly be called the elimination process. Um Clay, that involves FAMs, and everyone knows there just aren't enough of them. What does your post/thread have to do with FFDOs? I didn't see the special, but I picked out the FAM last time I was in line for screening. It's not hard to notice the guy with a military style handbag who isn't going through the metal detectors. My understanding was what pissed off the legislators was just what the TSA was saying was SSI. Basically, the TSA was saying everything that would show they're not following the intent of the law was SSI. The TSA made it as hard as possible for pilots to become FFDOs.
