I was talking to some Georgia redneck this weekend, and he asked me about Nascar. I told him I didn't pay much attention to it. He thought that meant I didn't pay much attention to anything. After insulting me (a person he knew for about 45 seconds), he tried convincing me Nascar is the fine wine of all racing. I made it a point to correct him, that Nascar is the bud light of racing. It is popular with the most Americans, so it is probably boring and uninspired, but has a good marketing campaigns (just like Bud Light). F1 on the other hand, has every bit of thrill and competition involved in good racing. Sorry, but I can't get excited about guys turning left all day.
