Well I can tell you I dig my Zune. I had no interest in an Ipod. My Wife has had several of them and now has the 80g one. The Screen and Picture Quality of the zune along with ease of use Kicks the Ipods ASS but then again I never wanted an IPOD or any other MP3 player until I saw a Video playing on the ZUNE. Not sure just how I would handle it for sure but if I had decided to dump the reserve I know I would be getting big and slowing down and NOT dumping until 4K or so as per what Mr. Booth had to say on the matter after someone dumped their reserve immedialty up high and blew up their reserve. I think though I would have done something along the lines you did but wouldn't have waited tell 3 K to dump. Would have probably dumped the main higher and checked to see how far the cable was out and if it looked like I was in any REAL danger of two out then chopped and pulled the reserve MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT Life is Short and we never know how long we are going to have. Ok :) I stand corrected. Looked like he had them around his head based on how he was tugging on the lines. I should have left out and said it LOOKED like. He attempts to deploy his reserve but you can see his cutaway pillow long before 3K it is just that his main is still wrapped around his head so he is still stuck on his back spinning. But again with the choppy video would need the person to come and say what happened. As to second guessing what he did..well he is alive the chances are he wouldn't have been dumping into that mess. Spinning with a main around your neck will most definatly mess up the reserve depoyment and give you a bigger ball of shit over your head and if thats all you got then you pray. I think if you watch that again he had cut away the main a long time before 1000' and it looked like he was struggling to pull the reserve. He definatly had lines wrapped around his head. before I broke my skytronic it was 4.5 (telling me breakoff is coming LOOK at ALTI) 3 (You should have pulled if not DO IT NOW) 1.8 DUMB ASS YOU GONNA DIE! Only once did I hear the flatline in freefall..not something I want to hear again. Scary shit...Heard it a bunch of times snivleing after dumping at 2K on 4k jumps but I planned on pulling at 2k and fully expected to hear it as 1500 is my decision alti on planned 2k pulls. My personal view is after you have 100 jumps you should make a couple 2K pulls so you don't freak out if you end up there through no fault of your own i.e aircraft emergency, some jack ass tracked over you on break off (happend once see first flatline) etc the ground definatly looks different at 120mph at 2k **Disclaimer** I am not an instructor so my views are not to be followed unless someone who knows more then me agrees and tells you it is a good Idea.
