I tried that but my eyes were strobbing (it's the only way I can explain the feeling). Looking at the monitor hurt and so did watching tv. My fever hit 102 and when I get sick I turn into a baby. At least that's what my wife says. Ohwell. Pick and chose the threads to read mark the rest read.

Now that is what I call stupid! All he need was to wear a nametag with his adress on it for the rest of the store who did not know him. Dumbass.

Hey Chile, I'm with you. Sometimes I even stop, throw the vehicle in reverse and hit em again Per this thread : I have not read every post in this thread because it seems to go on forever already. But I am interested, how many officers have responded? What would you officers have done in this situ? My brother being a NYC Corrections Officer on Riker's deals with the lowest of New York's scum. And Use of force is an everyday occurrance for him. When it comes down to the officer going home to his family or you not having your head smashed in because you are too stupid to stay off drugs and dumb enough to take ANY kind of shot at a cop, I hope the officer goes home, whatever it takes. Some officers are scum and sometimes they use their authority and power to get away with things they should not. Noone will ever agree with officer's doing that. But the most officers do a thankless job for very little pay and then get critized for it when something like this happens. You get high and attack cops . . . fuck you . . . I hope the smash your pelvis into the earth's core. I think that those of us who think otherwise should put on a badge and walk the streets awhile. Gain a little perspective. Officers speak out I would like your take no matter what side of the argument you are on.

Nightingale poses a couple of good questions here. There is a lot to being a Dad. My oldest daughter is mine via adoption. She was my wife's from a previous marriage and when we got married I adopted her. The bsperm donor wanted nothing to do with her and I felt she should feel that she was wanted and I loved her like my own so we went through with it. This did a couple of things. First it changed her birth certificate to reflect me as her father. Second it legally entitles her to all rights and priviledges as an heir to my estate. I was 20 at the time and I had experience with kids that most 20 year old guys did not. My mother owned a Day Care center in South Florida for 15 years. I worked there every summer and sometimes after school. I also had a new born sister at 12 and a brother at 14 and another at 16. I had spent time helping to raise children at home and learned how vastly different each child was even if they came fromt he same family. And with all that exposure, I was IN NO WAY prepared for what parenthood would bring. Stepping into that role was the hardest thing I ever did. I made many mistakes and was not good at it at all. I brought with me all the ttraumas and fears from childhood. I became more like my father than I ever wanted and it took me several years to know how to balance discipline with forgiveness and playfullness with sterness. For a while I did everything wrong. How do you deal with a 4 year old that decides a toilet is too dirty and would rather pee their pants? One time we were so broke all I had was hamburger buns and peanut butter and water to feed her for lunch. She got so sick one time that the hospital bills bankrupted us. We lost everything. We moved around so much she could not make friends and began acting up and screwing off in school. It took 6 years to recover from the financial and emotional stress this caused everyone. It is now 13 years after the adoption (she is 16 now) and I am better than I ever was but still no where near perfect. Now that I am getting better at handling parenthood of 10-14 years olds she is 16 and a whole new scary world is opening up. Parenthood is not easy. It is not something to tread into lightly. I did and almost screwed up a wonderfull little girl by being to hard at first and then over compensating by being to easy. More importantly I was not set in a career yet and so it opened up a whole new set of problems for which I had no solutions. You must be ready to be a teacher, a councelor, a provider, and sometimes a judge. All these things must be done from a position of selfless love or you will go overboard. Do not go blindly and do not be fooled. It is the hardest thing you can ever do raising a child. But I will say this . . . it is by far the most rewarding. Looking back I would maybe change a few decisions along the way, but I would not have changed the journey. Especially when I look at her now and see how great she has become.

Yeah what Ivan said.
