What do I believe? :I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. So them all the Beauty they possess insiiiiiiiiiiiiide. Give them a seeeeeeense of pride . . . : Man can I sing

Get a Grip??? I was not aware I was being offensive. Nor was I saying anything bad about people who have their children later in life. I was just saying that I had mine early, and that I do not regret it and I was giving my reasons why I do not regret it.

I'm sorry but I did not need to see that, while sitting on the couch with my children. I do not have a problem showing it, but there needs to be a warning for those of us who do not want our children seeing that crap. That is the problem I have with it. Luckily, my son and I were making funny faces at each other at the time and so we did not see it. My wife and daughters did however and they were a little shocked. I am sure it is unpopular to not want your kids to see this nowadays but I don't give rip. It should not have been done, or it should have had a warning. But no, then the shock factor would not have benn there.

Oh, I look exactly like my avatar.

You know, I haven't seen (or heard) any of those lately. Did they end that advertising campaign?

sdgregory replied to Muenkel's topic in The Bonfire
No I meant wussy. The combination of wimp and pussy. BTW.... my rig is Cypres and RSL equipped, and my main canopy is loaded at less than 1.0:1. . . SURE GO AHEAD AND RUIN MY JOKE! I was hoping you would run with it but I guess you can't read minds -

Going to FLorida in March . . . which DZ?
sdgregory replied to sdgregory's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I would go to them all but I would rather spend two days at one and get really used to finding the new DZ.. Besides I may only get two days of jumping in and could not visit them all within the allotted time. At most I will get three days in. And Florida is 600+ miles from top to bottom, would take too long to drive to em all. Of course they might be close enough together that I could take off from one jump and open at 13,000, catch the winds right and possibly land at another. Then go up at that one and ride the winds to the next. I might make five or six DZ's in one day! Or, if I could convince someone to let me borrow a birdman . . . -
I enjoyed the Farting Horse commercial immensely! And the OCC commercials were pretty damn funny too.

I got lice in my fro once . . .

or we could tell her those photos of the bare assed skydiver are of you. Definitely take her out to the DZ and introduce her to everyone . . . of the psycho pervert skydivers you hang out with.

I must say that mine do not fight too much at all. The benefit of being poor is you live in very small tight homes and with five people you just have to learn to get along because there is really no where to go to get away from everybody else. The only arguments I really ever hear is "Patrick won't let us give him a kiss!" from the girls. Poor guy.

Hey gimp! You planning on banging it on the table? If so get video

I adopted my oldest when she was three and I was 20. My next came when I was 21 and my son came when I was 23. No way was it too early. When I was 12 my sister was born and i was smitten from the moment she came home. My brother was born 2 years later and then another brother when I was 16. My mom owned a day care center with over 200 kids and I spent almost my entire teenage life working there with the after school kids. It was so much fun I knew that when I got married I wanted kids. The drawbacks of the early fatherhood was that I was not even sure what I wanted to do for a living so income was a problem, but I had already finished my party stage by then and really was a home body. The upside . . . aside from being young enough to still play with them rather aggressively (water fights, video games, wrestling, etc.) is that when my youngest turns 18 and goes off to college, I will be 41 years old. My wife will only be 44. Plenty young enough to have fun doing all the things we want to do. I would not change the timing at all, I would just change the career decisions I made early on so that we were more financially secure now. (I just recently went to college to get my bachelor's and will not be done until 2005 when my oldest will be 18.) But I just encourage her to stick close to home and reap the benefits of my new income. She seems to like that idea.

Judy, I agree. I have seen a few times on here that someone has seen a person get pissy about having to do recurrency jumps. I just think that whether you are just a person who only wants to jump 3 or 4 times a year or someone who is only able to jump 3 or 4 times a year, if you are WILLING TO FOLLOW currency rules and fly conservative canopies, you should be allowed to jump. Hey it is your money. I do think that if you expect to not have to do recurrency jumps then you should pick up bowling. You know the rules concerning safety and currency and youhave to folow them just like everyone else. (You being the person who only jumps three or four times per year.) Not you personally. Of course this is all probably void if the person shows blatant disregard for the safety of others. We do have a responsibility to look out for one anothers safety by being aware of our surroundings and being safe.

This sucks, all i get is audio. edit to add nope I was able to download it and play it. Someone needs to tell that guy "here's your sign." I watched that three or four times and it keeps getting funnier every time I see it!

LMAO! Hey moody, why so moody over Flip-Flops? Flip-flops are great all purpose shoes. Easy on, easy off.

I agree with the Tobasco sentiment. For all around, multi use sauce, it is the way to go. Take some ground beef, spice it with salt, pepper, Mojo. Make some black beans and rice, mix the beef in with the beans and throw over the rice then flavor with tobasco. Damn that is one good, rib sticking low cost meal. One of my favorite 15 minute foods.

This would be fun. If my aunt does a tandem when we go to Deland in March, this is as close as I would want to be. Especially after reading the thread that riddler linked. Would not want to be in an accident like that at all.. But I am fine with just being on the same jump run as her and seeing her land.
