I thought it was "You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose. But you can't pick your friends nose." Hey Lany, Same thing happened with me with my Favorite Aunt. Eventually they get over it and the relationship restores itself. -
WTF? Why are you setting your shit on fire? That is nasty man!

I am in Columbus. Damn this snow sucks monkey nuts!

That is because the vegetation in Florida is tropical and frost does serious damage to them. Can't remember how many times the Orange crop got damaged by a freeze.

Hey Gimp, It snowed in South Florida in 79 when I was in the first grade and there was just enough to see it on the cars and the whole damned county came to a halt!

Oh mayun I miss deep fried ocra. Or some grits made right or some fried green tomatoes. Why do northerners put jelly or sugar and cinammon in their grits (that is assuming they know what grits are!)? God that is nasty! Salt, butter and no instant crap!

Straighten it up, Squid.... FFF Freefallfreak, tuna and labrys! Stop making me shoot beer out my NOSE!

I tend to agree hear. The wind tunnel is just a tool and not a replacement for being in the sky. Kinda like swimming in the bathtub really. I am making a trip to a windtunnel this year mostly for my kids. They want to do it and I think it will be great to get them started. Besides one of our fellow DZ.commers has generously offered to help teach the kids to fly. Added to that I want to learn how to sit fly better and a friend of mine went over the winter break and came back able to hold his sit for the whole dive. So this once I am going to do it. But I know when it is all said and done I will always much rather be in the sky!.

I do not remember where I heard this but it will always be true: "To those who have defended it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know." I know after I served it had a whole new meaning for me. Before I served I took my freedoms for granted, now I savor every freedom and right I have. Go with God fallen friends. The price you paid will always be remembered.

A very true statement. There is no excuse for such a tasteless post. I second that notion. Wonder if any of these trolls ever served a day on foreign soil where their mere presence was detested when all they were doing was trying to help or defend the country they love.

Is it a full moon tonight? The trolls are out in force.

I have to confess that as I was picking the pictures I posted I was going for this "My kids through time" theme. And as I was doing it I was reminded how mixed my feelings are currently. My oldest has turned into such a beautiful young lady. I remember everything she has gone through and where she was, where she is and where she is going. I long for the days when I could hold her in my hands and yet I enjoy who she is now so much and still yet I fear the time when I must take a back seat to the spouse of her future. It is then that I realize how much I am in love with all three of these beautiful souls that are the children God has blessed me with. And they are growing up quickly. Each year seems to accelerate. It is hard to believe that in just 8 short years the noise will be gone. Like you said, bobsled, if I stop and think about them or just stare at them too long my eyes well up. I do not bring them a tenth of the joy they bring me.

trolling is fun . . . isn't it?

I'm like that too. I'm horribly bad at keeping contact with my friends. Doesn't mean I don't think about 'em or care about 'em - I'm just bad at making contact. Phone, email - anything not face to face and I am likely to be rather passive. However, I ain't a leech. But one should just keep people's dispositions in mind before one calls someone such a thing I am the same here, except if someone calls me I have the courtesy to call them back. I agree that if I call you and you never return my calls then do not call me for nothing. Now if you respond to me in email or through PM, at least you kept in touch. IT sounds to me that in this case they only make contact when they want something and that is wrong. I had a friend like this that I thought was my best friend back in my early twenties. Eventually I stopped calling. A year later he shows up at my house, I let him and his new wife in but made it clear I was busy and getting ready to leave. I made no attempt to be welcoming other than light conversation. I never saw them again and have never missed them at all. Real friends take the time in their busy schedules to call and make contact. Period. We all have lives yet somehow some of us take the time to make our friends feel important to us.

Funny I just got those in email yesterday plus about 4 others of the same theme. Must be circling the globe

Yet, this is exactly what people try to argue to prove that Concealed Carry laws deter crime. I guess we're either both right or both wrong, depending on how you look at it and which side you're on. Unless, you actually look at the facts. Then I'm right and you're wrong. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WHATEVER! WHATEVER! Association as Causation! Both wrong! Look at the date of the release of Blue M&M's and look at the trends. You will see a direct correlation to the decrease of violent crime there. Red dye gives cancer but blue dye causes a hieghtened sense of euphoria and M&M's has sold MORE M&M's since the Blue came out and THAT my friends is why gun violence is down! Everyone is too happy with Blue to care!

*snore* not about the lost lives of American soldiers but for another anti-whoevers-in-charge thread.

If that ain't worth beer then what is? Oh and I hope someone from your DZ sees this "I did not get pied . . . I'm sly" comment and pies ya double!

Yeah if you can swoop but for those of us sith less than 500 jumps swooping is not exactly an option and it seriously not if you have, say, oh, I do not know, uhm, 33 jumps?
