no, but my limited study of biochemistry and my more thorough study of chemistry in general is what i'm using to post. fatty acids (fat) are consumed and stored as fat and many fatty acids that the body uses are synthesized by the body if not found in the diet. that is one reason why some people have a harder time burning fat than others. their bodies synthesize fat more than other peoples' do. however, i believe that the lion's share of the obesity problem in this country is caused by overconsumption and inactivity. i'm not judging. there's a difference between stating an opinion and judging. i believe that there are many pieces to the overweight problem in america and, i agree, individual cases are not simple. however, i do think that the majority of the problem lies with basic diet and exercise. i think that there could easily be a genetic predisposition for putting on excessive weight but, remember that that weight is energy that that person consumed. there's a new diet called the thermodynamics diet out now...you can eat whatever you want and you just need to expend more energy than you consume! that's very interesting and not a far stretch as far as i'm concerned. i've noted before that the analyses that the hollywood scientists perform in one day often take much, much longer and, many times, spectroscopic or chromatography analyses are not cut and dry like the shows portray. they are fun to watch, but if someone doesn't have any background in instrumental analysis, i can see where false impressions can be set. i wanna jump year round so, i'm with you. however, i know that my wallet can't handle my massive addiction yet so, i have a snowboard that serves as my mistress for those long, cold, ohio winters. and yes, snowboarding in ohio blows so we go to michigan, penn, or WV when the time allows!

is it better to be f***ed out of jumping for four months because it makes the glorious return that much sweeter? or, is it better to live in the lands of the sun (FL, CA, etc.) where the biggest obstacle to jumping is the occasional rainy day, and there is nothing else to impeed the addiction that we all share?
