Hi shade, Re: Does material count in a TSO? Possibly, the regs are IMO very vague to non-existent as to what all must be included in the specifications that have to be submitted. Also, they could have submitted a number of fabrics from which they could build with. In 1964, Security introduced a 1.1 oz fabric in their new Crossbow 26 ft conical canopy. A year or two later, they came out with a 26 ft conical Lo-Po canopy. It also used a 1.1 oz fabric; only this Lo-Po fabric had been calendared [ sp? ] to obtain a lower porosity fabric. It could easily be argued that it was still the same 1.1 oz as used originally. See how that works? Jerry Baumchen

Hi Bill, As I have posted many times; I was a member of the GOP for over 40 yrs. I also never once voted only for R candidates in those elections. Your are weasel-wording and you should simply admit it. Are you sure that you do NOT have a law degree? Jerry Baumchen

Hi John, This is the thing that always fascinates me. These idiots cannot think forward more than about 30 seconds. Jerry Baumchen

Hi nico, The first canopy that I know of that was both a main & a reserve was the ParaCommander. Pioneer did not initially plan on getting it certificated, but some European countries req'd that ALL canopies used there had to be certificated. So, Pioneer went thru the testing to obtain the certification. They had to use a longer bridle line to get it to pass the tests. The first canopy that I know of that did this from the get-go was the Raven series of canopies. I'm thinking that they might all go down the same production line and then get determined as a main or reserve near the end of the production line. Anyone else? Jerry Baumchen

Hi shade, Without going thru a bunch of old documents [ some, I no longer have ], I believe that the 300 ft req'ment is an optional test; yes/no? Jerry Baumchen PS) Re: c23b: Covered in NAS 804, second 4.3.4: Open within four seconds. That is a Twisted Lines test, not a Functional test. TSO C23b NAS 804.pdf

Hi folks, Oh yea, sure they will: House Republicans will get to the bottom of the investigation into Trump. Trump's federal indictment will loom large as Congress returns : NPR Going to be tough getting to the bottom when your own party is against you: Republicans angry with McCarthy over debt deal Republicans angry over McCarthy debt deal block gas stove bills (nbcnews.com) Kevin McCarthy couldn't pour piss out of a boot with the instructions written on the heel. Hi Keith, I can offer only my thoughts. It is same way he bullied himself into the middle during the GOP debates in 2015-2016. According to procedure, they were supposed to be standing in alphabetical order. Trump would be off to the right as we viewed things. He would not accept this; and, simply bullied his way into the center. People simply acquiesced to the bully. Jerry Baumchen

Hi folks, And, the Trump rats continue to leave the ship: Trump loses two lawyers just hours after 2nd indictment - POLITICO I'm thinking that they value their law careers too much to get tarnished by staying with Trump. As I have posted before: In June 1963 I was standing at the Berlin Wall. At that time, I was very sure that one day it would be gone. I did not expect it in my lifetime. I feel the same way about the GOP & Trump. While I doubt that I will live to see it, I am hopeful that the day will come when the GOP realizes that Trump was a disaster for them & for this country. Hi Keith, Re: For me; life is sacred. I do not consider a fetus a person; ergo, not a life. Once the child has been born, I want us to support it completely. Re: with all the types of birth control; we should have significantly reduced the number of abortions if not completely eradicate it. IMO with the exception of sterilization of one of the participants [ or both ] or just not do it, no types of birth control are foolproof => /=/ 100%. If they were foolproof, I doubt any of us would be discussing this. Now, back to your regular programming of criticizing Pres. Biden. Jerry Baumchen

Hi Bill, I read about this yesterday. I think this decision(s) by Ford & GM are far bigger than most of us think at this time. This IMO is truly a step in the right direction. Relating to Keith's post, IMO this will become the de-facto standard just as nozzle sizes are now standard. Jerry Baumchen PS) A few months ago, the EU adopted a standard regarding cell phone chargers; much to Apple's chagrin. However, IMO these are the things that must be completed to move the technology forward.

Hi Keith, First, each of us has the right to their opinions; that means you & me at a minimum. You posted this: I am opposed to abortion once there is a fetal heartbeat. I am opposed to abortions being used as birth control when there's 47 types birth control for both men and women. Be responsible. And, until we're able to do that; then it needs to be between a woman and her doctor. I'm not understanding how it needs to be between a woman and her doctor with your previous postings. If it truly it needs to be between a woman and her doctor then, to me, there needs to be no further discussion. Or maybe, I just fail to understand the details of your position. I am a pro-abortion person. I am also a pro-choice person. I am not a pro-life person. To me, it is sort of like ranked-choice voting. And, #3 is something I will leave the ballot blank on. Jerry Baumchen PS) Once I became a thinking person *, I decided that I wanted to make my own choices in life; and, then live with the consequences. * Probably in my late teens.

Hi folks, Oops: Prosecutors consider a target a person for whom there is “substantial evidence linking him or her to the commission of a crime and who, in the judgment of the prosecutor, is a putative defendant.” Trump notified that he is the target of an ongoing criminal investigation - POLITICO Well, he does like being in the spotlight.
