  1. Hi rich, Re: He's not Trump does not mean you have to be a fan nor should you be. It also does not preclude me from being a fan. Joe B was not my first choice for the nomination; however, I stand by this mantra: HE IS NOT TRUMP Unless he does something that, right now, I cannot imagine, I will support him. If he gets a 2nd term, I will re-evaluate. Re: Like Trump he should be criticized And, you are, without much success, doing so. Jerry Baumchen
  2. Hi folks, As Trump continues to claim that he won the 2020 election; would that not make him ineligible to run in 2024? Thoughts????? Jerry Baumchen
  3. Hi rich, Not matter what Joe Biden does do, does not do, I will take him every day over Trump. And, to be somewhat fair; what do you think of Trump's continual insistence that he won the 2020 election? Jerry Baumchen ETA) The story is over two yrs old. Do you really think it is relevant?
  4. Hi Joe, Re: you'd have a damn impressive answer the next time a whuffo asks you what's the highest you've jumped from. I've known quite a few jumpers who have never let the truth keep them from telling some BS about their jumping exploits when talking to whuffos. Just sayin, Jerry Baumchen PS) I've got one jump from 23k, good enough for me. PPS) Paid $7.50 for that 23k jump.
  5. Hi Robert, I think by now most of us accept that he is trying to hide 'something.' Here is where he continues to believe that he still has power: Trump claims executive privilege can shield them from the subpoenas and document requests Trump . . . saying he sent his own letter Friday to the National Archives arguing he has executive privilege rights Biden Won’t Grant Trump Executive Privilege Over First Batch of Jan. 6 Documents (msn.com) IMO Trump lives in a very strange world; of his own making. 6. Hi Joe, Re: People are that stupid. And here is a perfect example: An elected official representing Oregon’s 12th most populous county told residents . . . they should put their faith in God, not doctors or scientists, Oregon politician says ‘ask God’ about COVID-19 vaccination, ‘you can’t trust doctors’ - oregonlive.com Jerry Baumchen
  7. Hi John, About 20 yrs ago, some sports magazine asked Joe Montana if he wanted his two sons to play football. He said, 'Not if they can swing a golf club.' I believe the term is: Follow the Money Jerry Baumchen

  9. Hi folks, Looks like money talks: Vaccine mandates are working, with vaccination rates topping 90% : NPR Amazing how a buck or two will change things; sometimes. Jerry Baumchen
  10. Hi John, Yes, they are. A few snippets from the link: The Committee’s investigation to date underscores how Trump’s efforts to use DOJ as a means to overturn the election results was part of his interrelated efforts to retain the presidency by any means necessary. Trump grossly abused the power of the presidency. He also arguably violated the criminal provisions of the Hatch Act, which prevent any person—including the President—from commanding federal government employees to engage in political activity. White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows asked Acting Attorney General Rosen to initiate election fraud investigations on multiple occasions, violating longstanding restrictions on White House-DOJ communications about specific law enforcement matters. Clark’s proposal to wield DOJ’s power to override the already-certified popular vote reflected a stunning distortion of DOJ’s authority: DOJ protects ballot access and ballot integrity, but has no role in determining which candidate won a particular election. Sometimes the wheels of justice turn very slowly, but they always keep turning. Jerry Baumchen
  11. Hi Robert, Texas = Iran; or is it Iran = Texas. Hmmmm, Jerry Baumchen
  12. Hi Joe ( since you are last post ), Not being a USPA member any longer, I do not get the magazine. However, the other day a good friend contacted me about an article in the recent issue. It is the article about the parachutes for the Mars Lander, written by Connor Kelsey. While it has been about 5 yrs ago, I had a very small part in his getting employed by Airborne Systems. It is nice to see that he is doing so well there. I have not seen him since his wedding, but he is a very nice guy. Jerry Baumchen

  16. Hi Wendy, From John's link: ‘in a Republican party entirely beholden to Trump, Pence is now . . . seeking to balance fealty with his own ambitions’ IMO Pence is today, more forgotten than Trump. Pence will merely fade into history. Anyone remember who Barry Goldwater's running mate was? Jerry Baumchen
  17. Hi Westerly, I could not agree more. Jerry Baumchen PS) What's next; some dufus saying his religion does not allow him to be incarcerated?
  18. Hi folks, Good news: ‘A Texas judge has found Infowars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones liable for damages in three defamation lawsuits’ Alex Jones is found liable over Sandy Hook hoax conspiracy : NPR Just desserts IMO. Jerry Baumchen
  19. Hi Westerly, And, as the non-vax'd die off, we get closer & closer. Jerry Baumchen
  20. Hi Robert, I think he was really probably fired because he did not bow five times a day toward Mar-A-Lago. Jerry Baumchen
  21. Hi folks, Not long after Mel Brooks wrote the film, THE PRODUCERS, he was asked why do a comedy about Hitler. He said that the only way to deal with Hitler was to mock him, to make him the laughing stock of the world. "I don't care if the scoreboard said Republicans 13, Democrats 12. Democrats won! The Republicans stole the game! I demand a recount! I want an audit! Democrats must introduce new rules to make it more difficult for Republicans to hit, run, score, and catch the ball for outs," ‘I want an audit!’: Democrat mocks Republican election fraud claims with Congressional baseball game tweet (msn.com) Jerry Baumchen
  22. Hi folks, And another one bites the dust: ‘The jury deliberated for about 90 minutes . . . before convicting 25-year-old Kaleb Cole of five felony charges, including conspiracy, mailing threatening communications and interfering with a federally protected activity. He could face a decade in prison’ US jury convicts leader of neo-Nazi threat campaign - OPB Jerry Baumchen
  23. Hi folks, Trump's record of losing in court just keeps going, and going, and going: ‘There have been plenty of songwriters and recording artists over the years objecting to Republican politicians using their music. Sometimes, that results in litigation, but almost never a court ruling’ Judge Rejects Donald Trump Bid to Escape Song Copyright Lawsuit (msn.com) He's better than the Timex watch. Jerry Baumchen
  24. Hi folks, ‘The CDC is now hoping to get a fuller picture of the data and long-neglected details on the impact of daily gun violence.’ The CDC Wants To Study The True Toll Of Guns In America : NPR It will be interesting to see what they come up with. Hopefully, something that might change a few minds on the SCOTUS. I am not holding my breath. Jerry Baumchen
  25. Hi folks, I've travelled a lot in my life; I've been in more grocery stores than I can remember; however, I have never seen any Stupid Pills on sale. So where are they getting them? ‘Republicans fit roughly into three camps: A minority who believe that Biden won legitimately, a majority who believe that the election was stolen but can't be undone, and a smaller but incredibly vocal group who believe there is still a chance to remove Biden by challenging the 2020 results.’ The Trailer: The endless audit: Where Republicans go next after Arizona's ballot review confirmed Biden's win (msn.com) Jerry Baumchen
