  1. It's a trick, Turtle. Don't let some asshole foreigner, if he even is a foreigner, befuddle you into disclosing a single one of the myriad, irrefutable proofs of the wonderfulness of President Trump. And when you attempted to explain the proof to the poor unfortunate how ever could he see that what seems to be true is not? You might as well attempt to explain 11 dimensional chess to your Labrador.
  2. ??? WTF dude, I gave a very simple and far from complete view of things from my perspective. If you have a better understanding of things based on your experience I'm here to learn.
  3. Thanks Phil, you're always there to cheer me up. I won't forget, I promise. Seriously, Jet-A pricing at the DZ level has been mostly constant at for decades. Maybe +/- a buck some years, but irrespective of the meme, fuel isn't a dominant cost in a jump ticket. Actually, jump tickets for up jumpers in the US are all subsidized by student tickets at 60-70% of DZ's based on my aircraft leasing experience. So I'm not depressed. I'm tanked up and ready to roll. The thing is, I do not think US skydiving will roll this year. I also think next year will be a trial.
  4. As usual the wholesale price of Jet-A has remained stable. Somehow or another that cheap oil never seems to make it into my tankers. 2018 1.969 1.911 1.893 2.032 2.175 2.152 2.140 2.148 2.214 2.296 2.100 1.811 2019 1.822 1.925 1.960 2.022 2.061 1.879 1.938 1.864 1.898 1.931 1.922 1.932 2020 1.893
  5. Here you go Turtle, I found something positive for you to fawn over.
  6. Jeez olof, Mark might be anti-government but it's in an adorable, non nihilistic, sort of way. I actually wouldn't be surprised to find bat ramen on the shelves in some places I've been. Somewhere I have pictures of deep fried bats hanging at a food stall in Northern Vietnam.
  7. So, have any of you actually been on a Russian airplane in Russia? You know, like a Tupolev-154 on a short haul? The pilots had an entirely different opinion of what constitutes sobriety, at least when I was there. I was also on the World Team Transport and Jump aircraft in 1996. I recall looking at the military transports fascinated that they had the emergency cut out locations in English. The attached pic is a passenger aircraft. I'm never surprised when a Russian plane crashes.
  8. Turtle-dee Turtle-dum is Turtle-some on his best day. Who the fuck is paying him to be obtuse and annoying, RushMc?
  9. You really need to spend a summer jumping at my DZ.
  10. Oh, I remembered instantly, then said Fuck out loud. This getting old just sucks.
  11. And I'll take the honor of gifting your 100th. Good retirement number if you've a mind.
  12. For a bonus, which famous american political figure said: "polls are for strippers and cross-country skiers"?
  13. A. 100% agree. This is a place where people need to educate themselves in a big way. B. It's more of a schadenfreude and just deserves sort of thing than a cruel and pointless thing, at least for me. In fairness, it's not like those Red States are losing sleep over contributing to a second wave in Massachusetts or Oregon.
  14. Then you have a very warped perception of the majority opinion. Sure, there are millions of deluded simpletons who would be thrilled if the powers Trump claims were his actual powers and he could use them to stamp out the libtard hordes. But the sad truth is that those fine people are, by and large, ignoramuses who are intellectually incapable of keeping the different moving parts of complex problems in workable order in their minds. As I see it, it isn't that they want winning so much as they want who they despise to see what losing feels like. It's those worthies who seem desirous of authoritarianism even though they can not understand what that really means. The majority simply want fair, intelligent, checked and balanced leadership from the executive. The exact opposite of what we were gifted with when the system went to hell in a hand basket and elected Donald J. Trump as our President.
  15. It's a happy 60,000 not the unhappy 100-220,000 some eggheads were saying. But importantly, it would have been Billions dead had Trump not saved the day.
  16. As I think about it, you may be on to something. If the act of actually casting a ballot takes a certain amount of intelligence we may have found a solution to the problem.
  17. I'm not doing well at keeping my vote a secret anyway, methinks, and the majority of votes are already being bought, seems to me. Mail voting is the way, at least for now, and just like all other voting methods any fraud is mostly right wing fantasy. In Oregon it's a 20 year success story.
  18. Hopefully someone clues into the slogan potential: Liberate Michigan. Vote Biden! And the same in every state. And in November, Liberate America!
