I met her back in the Sugar Gliderz day's. They featured at an event we had and everyone loved them. She's cool. But.....I have a serious disability in the eye's of USPA; I'm both a member and a DZO and thus have suspicious motives on two counts.

I'm not. I'm basically a cul-de-sac off the social media super highway. The only reason I signed up here was because I had a plan to con Von Novak into something and then forgot what it was.

I hear you if no one else does. I can only guess what I'd have done to get my parents the med's they needed. Living with cancers and neuropathy is nothing anyone wants and a hand full of pills to get through the day is no great reward. There simply aren't any real pain management solutions for some afflictions. I truly hope you catch a break on this.

Is there a limit to how many posters I can block?

I addressed this many years ago by making it crystal clear what sort of behavior and language was unacceptable around students and the public. Then, to make it all easier, we segregated the groups in a linear flow pattern. Spectators and family and friends can all be together in their own comfortable viewing area behind a fenced flight line. They have shade pergola's, picnic tables, groomed grass, access to administration for information, etc. Checked in students can hang with their friends until it's time for their training and jumps at which time they are escorted into the main building and packing area where only staff are working and assembled to greet them and so on. They wait for their jumps there and in their own nice waiting area out front with a shaded porch and access to family and friends separated by a nice fence, checking stuff out and seeing what is going on. Up jumpers have their own clubhouse, camping/RV and parking area where they get to act, speak, joke and yahoo to their hearts undesire like the skydivers we are. No spectators, except adult family, personally supervised kids, or students allowed. When it's time to meet the aircraft the two groups stream to the loading area separately and join there where all of the black death shit ist verboten. A basic form of this is enforced at night and around the fire. It totally works fantastic, students and family are never offended, and we skydivers get to be complete asses on our own turf as God intended. Also, the structure of things is a daily reminder to all that decorum between staff, up jumpers and students is a core policy.

The entirety of your post is horseshit. Stating "He's history" is just ridiculous. He is still here. He still wields power over his throng. He still can and is affecting the political process in America.

Then help with the change. Again, I don't have the facts on this. I'm told it was a USPA official who runs a DZ. If this is an example of the care and concern they show the students who walk through the door at their own DZ they need to take down the sign. If USPA thinks this is just the way skydiving goes they need to take down the sign. But maybe, just maybe, we are ahead of our leaders on things. Maybe we are better than this.

Joe, here's a rule: treat every student, and approach their safety, as if they were a member of your own family whom you loved. Would you send your daughter or niece out on a high pressure, TV Tandem Demo with a barely and, apparently, only technically qualified TI? Again, if this is the situation then egregious doesn't begin to describe what happened.

Ken, with respect, if a USPA official uses their position to make something like this happen that is not simply poor judgement. We deserve better as individual and group members.

It's as Ken said in reply. Things said under your name simply have a weight that can never come from anonymity. And it is very weak shit. Of course they are things. You can anthropomorphize dogs, cats or your pet ferret but it will never change what they are, which is a tool, food or a pet.

OK, this is as serious as it gets if it is as bad as we are hearing. Adrenadict, no one will help move the ball forward with a new, anonymous post. I really don't want to go there, because the last thing I want to do is cause any problems, but I seem to recall that when we took that red dot in the green box test Bill's came out a bit to the right of some of us. Quite a bit as I now recall. Probably means nothing, I suppose. Just forget about it.
