Another AR-15. Bought on the same day. More thoughts and prayers. We just can not live this way and consider ourselves civilized.

The Liberty alliance has issued it's new 'Anti-Woke Map". All 12 spots are schools. https://libertyallianceusa.com/woke-heat-map/ If the evolution of humanity is the norm for all sentient life in the universe it makes perfect sense that there appears to be no one else out there.

What goes down must have previously gone up.

You’d never see a chick do something as boneheaded thoughtless as flipping off an enemy drone. There should be a rule: above Major, no dudes.

You’d be better off leaving those alone and banning poutine. Christ, I’d rather have a bowl of that foul Slovakian Halusky.

You can't? So then what's the engineering secret behind water fountains?

Biden’s war on fossil fuel and gas price timeline
JoeWeber replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes, it's available, but the second coming moves at a faster pace and the process would make the Byzantine blush. -
Nope. The cop who saved me is a TI here. In fact, he's a real life hero. He's the cop, it's a famous thing, who in full riot gear at a protest walked up to a little black kid who was holding a sign offering free hugs and asked if he could have one. He then talked to the kid at his level about what was bothering him about the police and gave him agreement and support. Talk about being incredible and knowing how to do your job.

If you are someone who needs to believe it's not the guns but it's something else like healthcare, that is to say, uncared for mental derangement, you have a few hurdles to leap. The first hurdle is the constant exclamation that there was no prior indication of derangement by the perpetrators of these gun killings followed up by the assertion that even if there were heretofore unknown indications none would have been discovered by a common background check. So let's give you all of that but, to be fair, we'll assume that you would be keen on finding those unknown indications so we might prevent at least one mass shooting in the future. Great. You still have an empty bag. So what about this potential indication: an 18 year old kid wants to buy two AR-15 style weapons, 1800 rounds of ammunition and a dozen or so high capacity magazines. Is that an indication of potential mental instability? Is that something that should be halted until a little more investigation happens? Is that something a gun shop owner should deny by law or be held responsible for allowing? Is that a reason to have gun control laws? That's the problem. Either you believe mental instability is the issue and can be seen or you just want to use it as a trope so you can ignore the horror of these mass shooting events. Which one are you?

You sir, even if you are 100, are wise beyond your years. -
Except for me on gopher patrol, No. I only recall once when some dumb ass showed up with a holstered gun and a Crocodile Dundee knife on his hip and he was told that he's on private property and it needs to be put away. Fortunately, one of our staff is a cop so he drew the duty.

As long as we're safe at the gun store buying our AR-15, 1000 rounds of ammo, and 13 banana clips there isn't a problem. In fairness, the gun gonzos are correct, it is a mental health issue; apparently holding an AR-15 with a 30 round magazine can make you insane. It must be true because, as we're incessantly told by the gun strokers, the child murderers showed no signs of illness beforehand.

Which is why my only war focused charity these days is "Walkers for Ukrainian Patriots". A guy I know who knows this other guy who has a friend continues to claim that these short term contract soldiers are ready to bolt. Maybe.
-
I don't have this first hand, but I have it that a large number of Russian troops who are contract troops, as distinguished from conscript troops, will be at the end of their contracts in a day or two. My busybody is insistent that is the reason Putin raised the age of enlistment to 50 a few days ago. Inquiring minds.

This is tasty. Check out the Russian soldier giving the drone the finger and then nonchalantly ignoring it.

disqualify U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene
JoeWeber replied to JerryBaumchen's topic in Speakers Corner
Incredible. Her hill country constituents must be proud. -
Not so. I'd say that big, honking asteroid that whopped into the Yucatan was progress for humanity. No majority vote then.
-
Thanks for the insight. I'll get someone right on it. My own 2 to 3 decade project is simply to still be here in 2 to 3 decades.

The problem is that our Supreme, by and through then Chief Pretzel Untwister Antonin Scalia, untied participation in militias from what is now an individual right to own a gun. Any attempt to undo that absurdity, whether by new law or court challenge, faces a long haul and dim prospects.

Are you serious? Of course he will, who wouldn't? He and Andy have adjacent houses and share a runway for their personal planes, I'm informed. This mind bending, selfish fuck up not withstanding, they're both sharp guys and solid pilots. Once they've done their time they ought to be back flying.

Somehow school dress codes and uniforms don't interfere with learning elsewhere. It's a guess but I'd guess where all kids are dressed the same at school there is less social bullying.
-
Schools are mental stress factories like everywhere else kids congregate to learn about stuff but mostly about life. Stress+immaturity+guns=mass murder. Theres a reason we don't have 250 bingo parlor shootings a year.

Just stop your crying It's a sign of the times Welcome to the final show Hope you're wearing your best clothes You can't bribe the door on your way to the sky You look pretty good down here But you ain't really good If we never learn, we been here before Why are we always stuck and running from The bullets? For sure those M777's are an advantage, not that I'd have one myself. So, hey, I have a present for you. UPS sucks here. Do you have a GPS address?

I think some our earlier MLS systems are maintenance dramas, as in sometimes not able to move before the counter battery fire arrives. I'm probably wrong. Hopefully that's sorted out.
