  1. I said "in America". Same place where common sense gun laws, obedience to science, and a belief that women have agency isn't working.
  2. Fair enough for you, and maybe for him, too. For me, knowing it was the cops, it would be both hands on the hammer and screaming for help when I wasn't biting the bastard. To each their own.
  3. I find the video odd. Paul answered the door with one hand on the hammer and, at that moment, not fighting. Maybe the circumstances were such that such a thing makes sense but I think at that moment I'd be having both hands on the hammer and screaming bloody murder.
  4. We need to stop dancing around this, too. This happens because the Police have no fear. They have no fear because of the strength of their unions. It should be obvious to everyone that this is a place where combining public service and collective bargaining, in America, isn't working.
  5. And doubt it you should. But..... the victim opened his door in response to a few knocks from the cops and he was standing there in his undies with a hand on the perps hammer. Then the perp whacked him. Regardless of any other evidence, how does that happen? Were they struggling close to the front door and Paul requested a quick moment while he opened the door for the police? Kallend, you're a double first, put this one together.
  6. At the risk of being atopical, in addition to my usual atypical, I think it's important to point out that using your military career to justify your thinking on the value and appropriateness of gun proliferation in America is a cheap play. As has been observed here ad nauseam, albeit necessarily, the United States is the only Western Nation with this problem and in this degree. Of course, the rest of those Western Nations have advanced militaries and a lot of retired veterans just like you and they seem to get along just fine, no better than fine, without our Second Amendment gun culture insanity and the consequent carnage against their own citizens. So thank you for your service but now let's all get to the position of enjoying that which you were, ostensibly, protecting: a safe, civil society.
  7. We can all be glad you weren't in tanks, I guess.
  8. Of course you'll claim it was a joke or an intentional libtard trigger, but it wasn't. You think that way like you were still wearing a green suit to work; your identity is your guns. Like your climate change position it works for you because it is in the face of others. Both make you feel more powerful. How you are unable to see that publicly promoting a cache of unnecessary, and frankly ridiculous, guns isn't a major part of what drives the gun culture in America is a mystery.
  9. You can kill them with it but it's not perfect for if no other reason than you don't need a semi-automatic to kill ground hogs.
  10. Sure they are, just as things attached to the planet and things that float off into outer space are related. The problem is the system of document classification and subsequent control. The US system is shit, obviously. Hence, all offenders should get a pass while (and I have no high hopes) we get our act together.
  11. No evidence of a dysfunctional gun culture there. Can't imagine why some poor soul might think their moment of fame might be in plain sight in this picture.
  12. That's the problem in a nutshell: reality is not obvious to too many. This will sound a bit Winsoresque but the wealth gap is apparently not half the problem of the smarts gap.
  13. But not Elise Stefanik. She see's no comparison to the horror that is Biden's transgressions: "In the case of Vice President Mike Pence, he came forward and proactively reached out and is following the process. In the case of Joe Biden, he has had classified documents going back to his time in the Senate where he started serving before I was born. So this is a long-standing national security threat," Stefanik said. and "Well, let's highlight the difference here in what the consequences have been. You had the FBI raid Mar-a-Lago. You did not see any of that happen for President Joe Biden who illegally did this," Stefanik added. "What also is different is President Trump as president has the right to declassify documents," Stefanik claimed. "So the media should cover the fact that the FBI has been weaponized against President Trump and clearly has covered up for sitting President Joe Biden." The blatant hypocricy of these people is gobsmacking. Horrendous challenges on the world stage, potentially life altering for all alive, staring us all in the eye and these pathetic demagogues can't abstain from being stupidly petty for a single moment. And it's not just in America, it's everywhere. Surely this condition marks the denouement of human civilization.
  14. It dilutes the seriousness of the offense in the public mind, which I think, reduces the chances charges will be brought. The should is again just a personal opinion, because the R maniacs in Congress will likely drag Biden through an impeachment or some other inanity as pay back. Perhaps you have some personal opinions you'd like to tie your name to instead of picking away at the thoughts of others like they're annoying scabs.
  15. ??? This the internet not a court. I think Trump intentionally took the classified documents and I'm allowed to believe it and say it.
  16. Given it was likely that Western Tanks would get to Ukraine eventually do you think training has already been ongoing?
  17. All the difference; safety first. Thanks for the substantive reply expanding our understanding. FYI, we do not need to be like Facebook here.
  18. Indeed. But until Trump decided to actually steal classified material we didn't know that having some in your exit box was normal. Trump will skate because of this reality, and he should. But regardless of your political flavor you really need to wonder just how secure our secrets are and who should have access.
  19. Whoa, Red Rider! Are you saying parents and not Government or Corporations should decide how to raise their kids? That's some right wing guff there, amigo.
  20. His for sure, he even Fracks in his house apparently.
  21. And now the entire purpose of that gun has been consumed. Oooohh, Aaaahh.
  22. I have no clue what the circumstances of the intrusion were but I have a solid clue that believing a shower assault could have been stopped had she been armed at the time is a poor way to defend being armed when suffering a surprise attack. Surely that's not a controversial opinion.
