What do you mean back in the day. It was on TV today and I have it on DVD! That movie made me the geek I am today! *makes note to change passwords from 'Joshua" to something else if Jim ever visits* Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Since I'm rigless until my main gets repaired and my new freebag & reserve PC get here, let's just say I have A LOT of free time on my hands. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Sky...with no bra, I wouldn't exactly say Stacy was "holding them back". Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

0:0:0 Sigh....still grounded with a downed rig. My Stiletto will be arriving at PD on Monday for them to assess and repair. On the plus side, I'd like to give a great big thanks to Todd, the DZO at Skydive Aggieland, for digging up a spare Mirage reserve PC & freebag and donating it to me. That was truly above & beyond.

Only if you're driving while so drunk you're on the edge of unconsciousness, with no brakes, and you've forgotton your glasses. Now you're getting close. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

If you have one of those cheap plastic hook knifes, throw it away. They're worthless and could fail when you need it most. Get a real knife. I like to wear one high and one low. On opposite sides of my body. I have a metal knife in my left legstrap by the hip and I have one for my chest-strap. I'm going to get rid of the chest-strap knife and go with one mounted under my right mud-flap. If you don't have a pocket there, make sure that you mount the knife with the hook facing away from you. Heck, it's a good idea to do that anyway. Since you'll probably be pulling it out at an angle with your opposite hand, it's less likely to snag or cut on its way out. You don't have to sharpen a hook knife, just inspect it to make sure it isn't bent, no rust, etc... NEVER use your hook knife for anything but an emergency. No cutting off rubber bands with it, no slicing lines to make closing loops....use common sense. But, you can test it once on a piece of paper, or a piece of spectra under tension, to make sure you have a good blade. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Yeah...any American involved in "waste management" with friends named Ice Pick, Guido, and Sal. J/K...JT is the definition of "good people". ...or was that "good fella"? Heh.

I'm all over that movie like a pack of wolves on a three-legged cat. It's one of the few movies this year that is a "must see" for me. The fact that it's two parts is even better! Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Thanks, Sky! It's the Kanjii symbol for "tranquility". It just seemed...apt.

Close but not quite. Firmware can be changed. Firmware: System software written onto read-only memory (ROM), it is a combination of software and hardware. ROMs, PROMs, and EPROMs are considered firmware if they have data or programs recorded on them Firmware is a term for code stored on some type of chip as opposed to being stored on a floppy / cd / hard drive. An EPROM or EEPROM can be flashed over and over again with new code as needed. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

This is the kind of complacency that gets people killed and puts others in danger. It has been my experience that it is much easier to move/dislodge a pin in a Cessna 182, 205, 206 than in larger turbines. With most turbines, you have some type of bench to sit on. With a Cessna, you are generally sitting on the floor, leaning back a lot more using your rig for a cushion, and compressing the bottom of your container. More than one time I have seen someone lean forward and their d-bag falls out because of this. I jump Cessna's a lot so I keep a very tight closing loop. If I don't break a sweat just trying to close the container then it's not tight enough. Also, I always try to sit cross-legged if possible so I am not leaning on the back of my container. It also helps that with my Mirage, I can reach behind me under the main flap and give myself my own pin-check, which I always do before getting up to prepare for exit. If something doesn't feel right back there, I have someone else on the load look it over. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Anything is possible, given enough money. It would probably be costly though. Also, the lines would have to be continuous. No cascades because of the line size. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I've got a jump on both a PD reserve and a Tempo. To be honest, I'd take either one. My Tempo opened beautifully, flew great (needed a little right input), and landed beautifully. I can fit a PD-160 in my rig or a Tempo 210. You do the math. And before anyone jumps on my having to add toggle input to get it to fly straight, I had to add toggle to counter a turn on the PD-R as well. Well, yesterday and Saturday sucked but my leg is a lot better today. It still tweaks a bit from side to side but it's nothing more than a pretty good strain. Sigh...now it comes down to waiting to get my canopy repaired and getting my replacement parts in so I can get my rig re-packed. Thanks for the vibes from everyone, I really appreciated them. You people rock! Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Well, I'd lose the "Jessicakes" part, but other than that it looks damn good. There's nothing wrong at all for requesting that you be paid for what you are worth, and that includes the worth shown by you with managing the abundance of new responsibilities you have been given. You definitely need to sit down with your manager and discuss this. Even if your salary change form has already gone to HR, there is no reason why they can't send another for at least another $18K a year. And for everything that plane could do it was designed in the 60's by a lot of guys with nothing more than slide-rules and a vision. It also went from concept to working prototype in record time, and we still don't really have much that will compete with it to this day...that we know of. The U2 will go high but it can't outrun a missle. Sigh....SR-71. You have to admire a plane that goes so fast it takes 3 states to pull a U-turn. Chevrolet Corvette with the full Reeves Callaway Sledgehammer conversion. That's what I'm talking about! Then there's the GMC Typhoon. Sigh...pure lust with room to spare. The Hennessey Viper isn't too shabby either. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Heh...I thought I was the only geek that knew that. Ya' have to give it up to LBJ. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
