Either that or those things they used to dig the Chunnel.

    Ear Hygiene

There are only a few of us here with access to the proper tools. Rgoper and NacMac work on oil drilling rigs.
  4. To conserve HH's bandwidth, how about I send you PMs with the nights that I don't want you to leave the window blinds open? I'm all about being considerate.
  5. I'll add a few more "You might be homebrewer if's": The people in the "Kitchen Store" look at you stupidly when you ask, "Is 20 quarts the biggest pot you have"? You ask to brew a batch at your parents, only because you want to do lambics without the strain getting loose in your own house. Your overhear your wife explaining the 4 main ingredients of beer to her mother. You have brewed batches that blew the carboy lid off during fermentation. You refer to the spice/baking/syrups section of the grocery store as the "adjunct aisle". Your response to Homeland Security recommendations is to stockpile even more beer. You develop allergies to any beer that comes in bottles with twist-off tops. You take advantage of winter snow to cool your wort faster. You are "forced" to buy good beer in the store and drink it quickly because you are running out of bottles.
  6. Are you oblivious to the three times in that post that Skymama was mentioned? Or are you well aware of it, but are using it as a secret ploy to distract everyone from your ploy to hide away in BillVon's car and be his personal source of "renewable biofriendly power", or your repeated offers to do nude modelling for Quade? Hmm. Who else should I drag into this....
  7. When will you get it straight? I am NOT stalking Sebazz. He is stalking ME! You are stalking HIM. I am stalking Skymama. (Figured I'd throw that out for consideration.) Clear?
  8. We definitely have a big-way of cool ladies on the site! And I'm not even saying that because I'm stalking anyone. I definitely know better than to single out anyone. It isn't an issue of someone being cooler than someone else. There are just people whose coolness I know better than others.
  9. Tell me about it. If this were serious, I'd be in a Georgia prison with Clay for having molested sheep!
  10. Not only is he serious, he brews good beer!
  11. Speaking of spanking, Skymama, when is Sebazz getting that date got in the dz.com charity auction? You know there is going to be spanking going on there. Note the all important comma, grammar freaks. It is "Speaking of spanking, Skymama" and not "speaking of spanking Skymama" since we don't yet know who will be the spanker and who will be the spankee. This grammar and spanking lesson provided by....
  12. Thanks for the advice, everyone. It seems like I'll probably book my ticket into Champaign. It should be easier to bum rides to and from there. The difference in price is probably worth the convenience. A little closer to the convention, I'll collect phone numbers and try to nail down someone specific for the job.
  13. We'd better do a linked exit. Otherwise, we might not pull it off.
  14. Duh! Of course they would. Everybody knows that. Prepare for the WFFC "Justin-way".
  15. Worse than the Death Star Deli before or after the force was with Luke?
  16. And how many work units have you crunched, wussy-boy?
  17. It is hard to tell. There are lots of factors that go into how fast your machine will chug through a work unit: Processor speed Type of processor (celeron, Pentium, Zeon, etc.) RAM Operating system General non-DC utilization Task-switching overhead Size of work unit etc. Some distributed computing projects actually use enough disk space that hard drive speed and bus bandwidth also matter. Well, unless you have enough RAM to stuff the whole thing in RAM, that is. It gets to be a complicated issue.
  18. I definitely agree with Cajones. One distributed computing program per machine. Or per CPU for those of us with multi-CPU loveliness. You can split your work between different projects you consider worthy that way. Running multiple distributed computing programs on one processor end up with sub-par performance on all of them, from what I've seen.
  19. If you are going to pie me, please use a chocolate mousse pie. None of those "nasty crap in a pie tin" pies, please.
  20. And some of us never stopped. I could mention several of the male greenies by name, but that wouldn't be polite. True!

    tea..??

It sounds like it would be easy to bring you to tears by talking about misuse of teas. Kind of like abusing Quade with discussion about incorrect focal lengths and F stops.
  22. Only 29 more years of mortgage payments.
  23. Bivar, It varies greatly depending on where in the US. The range is probably higher than where you are. Where I live, I'd say a normal home is about $300,000 to $400,000. That isn't anything huge, but I live right near Washington, DC. 100 miles away, it might cost half that. You know the 3 important factors in real estate? Location, location, location.
  24. If I fly there, will you pick me up? You're a hell of a lot cuter than Phree.
