Where is there to live around Alexandria, VA?
gmanpilot replied to freeflir29's topic in The Bonfire
Dude, live in the city. There is a serious surplus of under appreciated women living there. The ratio is well in your favor. It will be expensive, but it will be worth it. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap. -
I have seen far too many rape/murder crime scenes than I care to remember, and I can tell you that in my experience, the data below is correct. Rape is about the imposition of power and control by those who do not have power or control in the normal course of thier lives. Above all, it is sickening to me. I will never get used to it. I posted information about rape there. Not many people saw it. Just some facts for you guys: *Even if the rape survivor has no plan on prosecuting or getting a rape kit, report the crime. With more reported cases, people may understand just how serious it actually is. *"1 out of 3 women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime." *1 in 4 college women have been raped or suffered attempted rape. *78% of rape victims know their attacker. *Rape is a crime of violence motivated by a need to show power over or to express anger against another person. Sex is used as the weapon. *There is no evidence to support a link between physical attractiveness or sexiness and rape. Rapists care little what their victims look like; in fact, they rarely remember what their victims look like after the rape. The fact that elderly women and very young children (either males or females) are often victims tends to negate this myth. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Exactly, so my thinking is that they are precisely the things I will use. Quick, easy, devastating. Grappling is great stuff, but when things get funky, I prefer the K.I.S.S. method. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

I would think that the best/most effective defense would be the techniques that are specifically outlawed in the BJJ/UFC world. (throat strikes, eye gouging, biting, etc.) ?? Defending against an attack is not about winning a fight, it's about defending your life with the most lethal/effective techniques available. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

That is a fantastic attitude Rosa! Lesser women would lock themselves in the house with a bunch of cats. The best revenge is leading a full and happy life. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

I agree. Forget pinching arms, groins or solerplexes. Go for the eyes, drive your fingers (thumbs especially) deep into the orbits. They can't rape or fight if they can't see. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

After reading the responses, it's clear I am older than just about everybody: 1. On The Waterfront 2. Godfather 1&2 3. From Here To Eternity 4. The Deer Hunter 5. Pulp Fiction _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Hitler was a pathological murderer who killed six million innocent Jews. To equate him to GWB is........... pathetic. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Re: [Michele] JFTC ladies, please check in!

No, you are most decidedly wrong, and I give the target market for the calendar (the skydiving community) more credit than that. I would not pay for a quicky from anyone, let alone from any of my beautiful skydiving female friends. I can assure you however, that I would be happy to make a donation to JFTC.......with or without the calendar. Your quickie comparison is jacked up! _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap. -
No doubt about it, .....handheld aviation GPS. He will really appreciate it, and it may save his bacon someday. I have a Garmin 295 and I love it. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

The thread is about the validity/eficasy of x-ray searches, the gun thing is an aside. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Haven't we been through this before? The damn things don't exist. . What makes you think that? I dare you to prove me wrong. Show me that they do exist. They do exist, if I can get a pic of one I'll post it. As far as the x-ray thing. I can't imagine any set of circumstances where LE official in the US could make patrons of a bar submit to a search in order to leave the place. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

You may want to consider getting an advanced degree in something a little more broad than women's studies, and then place an emphasis on your topic of interest. My younger sister got her PHD in Political Sociology, and emphasised womens studies (specifically in India). She spent a couple years in India researching how best to enable and empower women in an oppressive environment. I would think long and hard about giving up a good job though, I hear they are hard to come by. Can you do this online? _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

I think the Pilatus PC-12 would make a hell of a jump ship, but they are still too expensive, and they are not approved for flight with the door removed. It would require an STC. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap. -
I was supposed to tip the packer?? No wonder those pack jobs were so shitty. Seriously, I prefer to pack my own. 2,500 pack jobs, and zero functions. I wonder what the function ratio of the professional packers is?? _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

That's a good point. I guess it's none of my business since it's a private site, but does the combination of advertising and donations cover the direct costs of keeping the site up? _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

There is something about being required to do it that made me vote no. But I'll donate voluntarily if it's worthwhile in the future. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

PC has to start somewhere, and is measured as the sum total of it's parts. That's right. But, the problem with your statement is that by gettign the documents, it may be a warrantless search. To get those documents you must have probable cause to get them. Or, they must be relevant in some other action. A cop or a DA gets "High Times" and decides to subpoena all the business records froma business? That's a warrantless search, isn't it? The same as sending a group of cops in. On top of that, it is a search of records of all the customers. The customer must get notice of it and have the opportunity to object. Your system seems to me to violate the 4th Amendment as well as anything else. It's an "unreasonable search and seizure." Um, you are incorrect. This exact scenario has passed muster countless times. In short: -no pc required for the records, it is an administrative subpoena. -there is no requirement to notify the customer, as there is no expectation of privacy. -"It's an "unreasonable search and seizure." "..... Nope, it's not. A federal Magistrate would not sign it if it were. Good pc does not rely on any single element, it's a reasonable/cumulative thing. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.
