Gun Control: Liberals vs. Conservatives vs. Southerners
gmanpilot replied to AggieDave's topic in The Bonfire
Dude, you need to pay closer attention when you load your mags. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap. -
Get drunk, and howl at the moon. When one of my friends would need "the treatment", we would pack up the Jeeps and trucks with camping gear and copious amounts of alcohol, then head out where there's no chicks, no electricity, and no pavement. I'm serious dude, get away and howl at the moon....it's good for what ails you. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Since I can't decide, I'll vote for the pushmi-pullyu. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Marijuana and Skydiving. Good, bad, indifferent?
gmanpilot replied to BravestDog's topic in The Bonfire
OK, so you believe it is irresponsible for you to jump stoned, thank you for that. Being capable and being responsible are two different things entirely. They are certainly less capable when they are stoned. Yes, I would probably be more capable jumping with a beer buzz, than would a sober, 100-jump wonder. It would still be an irresponsible thing to do. While I may be able to meet some arbitrary minimum standard while buzzed, I (and anybody else, for that matter), would be less capable in that condition, and pretty fucking selfish too. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap. -

These two statements are completely unreconcilable. How can it be irresponsible for you to do it, and not for others? Toxicology does not descriminate between talent or the lack thereof. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap. -
I prefer the 45, but the best one for you is the one you will keep handy. Do they make that baby Glock in .357Sig? _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Is it "OK"?, Well, that's a relative thing. If the plane were on fire, it would OK enough for me. Might be cool for intentional water landings. Anything short of those, I would probably elect to stay on the ground. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Ass talking.....cool trick. I voted that I have gained more. But I must say, it is not by much. Or at least, that's the way it feels. I have seen too many people die. I have lost too many friends. If they are close friends, it's like they take a portion of me with them, a portion of something that is finite. I don't know what it is. I have many good friends who are in Thailand right now, and I am a little worried. I have lost two friends doing big ways....it's dangerous. When Sandy died, I walked around in a fog for a week. We still miss her. My friends and I have been accused of being "skygods" because we usually only jump as a group. One of the reasons we jump as a group is the added safety factor that familiarity and experience brings. Friends don't let friends pull low. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

OK, here is some advice for him: Put on a suit, be early for the appointment, be respectful and contrite, etc. Hopefully he has a good academic record, employment history, .....maybe he could bring along family members or other "character references". A good judge will take all of this into consideration. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Rosa, PM sent. It sounds like his attorney and the DA may have reached an agreement already. Why would he admit guilt without an incentive? _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap. -
I have been preaching this for years, but nobody is listening. Idiots. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

That may well qualify as the single most useful piece of information I have read on these forums. I'm eating a hunk of warm french bread with salted butter and blueberry preserves. yum _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

The polling done by both sides is usually contrived and written with the intent of influencing opinion as opposed to measuring it. It's grotesque. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

That is a very interesting statement. Is it directed toward the tyranny of government or of the populace? _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Those questions are jacked up. Example: What state in America is being overrun with wolves?........none. I don't want anyone telling me whether or not I can own or carry a gun, but I would prefer that this O'leary or Zogby fella not argue my case. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

I think it was the surfing part you got confused about. That usually takes place on non-frozen water. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.

Top 10 Things you should NEVER say to ........

You know, the worst part is that it was really true. When I asked for her father's blessing, he tried to wave me off and warned me about her.....I did'nt listen. _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap. -

Hey Dagney, I have a "which is worse" scenario for you. I was married for 10 years, the last 5 of which were pretty unhappy, and the last 3 were down right crappy. I did not cheat on my wife, and she did not cheat on me, as far as I know. So I guess you could say that our mutual loyalty destroyed us for at least those last 3 years. Let's say one of us had cheated, and we got a divorce two years earlier and embarked upon our paths toward happiness two years earlier, and avoided two years of mysery. Which would be the greater harm?? You see, I did not get angry about my divorce until I started experiencing some happiness afterward. "Look at what I have been missing, I should have done this years ago". So which is worse?? _________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap.
