Ok I have been around bikes for basically my whole life and what your neighbor is doing is pointless and destructing to the bike. 1) My guess is he has a good job and could afford that "custom" Harley he has always wanted. Now he can show off and be a badass....when in fact he is a pompus jackass with no idea how to treat a bike. there is also a sang in biking that says...."If loud pipes save lives. Why do peopl with them always seem to crash more?" 2) It is not good for the bike. As stated earlier free reving is bad....reving under some tension is fine. If you rev to fast and often you can actually make ports in the top of the cylinder......the motor will soon blow up if he continues reving and oil starved motor. 3) No.......he obviously didnt buy the bike for the right reason. 4) It is very inconsiderate.....the same goes for blaring of the car stereo in the neighborhood. 5) Ehhh.....let him blow it up. There is a term for people who act in this fashion...Squid...Squids usually take care of themselves. I am guessing pedal bike.. Go to a shop and have them do it...you can easily do it yourself if you have a spoke wrench, but I am guessing you dont. Basically you losen opposing spokes and tighten others in order to "pull" the back into true. My ideas on the new Ducati design is that they had a design in yours model that lasted 11 years. They tried to out do themselves and make something that would last the ages, but from the classic designs they once had it was to extreme for the heritage class of buyers that flocked to the desmo design. This is not to offend anyone, but the new Ducs have become a status symbol....they have become the Harley of the sport bike world....similar to BMW's in the auto world. Its a scam...they have been around for a while. Different people trying the same old shit. My sister handles frauds like this when she worked for the DA's office and now the Secret Service. You basically send them the item and the cash....they then run the casheirs check and find out low funds...you are the one who has to make up the difference....so they get your item + cash...and you actually spend out of pocket money.
