The purpose of the banning of handguns was to prevent the "going postal" scenario where a legally held gun was used by someone without a criminal record killed a bunch of people. So what you are saying is that by banning only hand guns, that will effectively prevent people with mental instability from "going postal"? So what happens when these individuals do not have access to hand guns...? That's it? So what happens when they start picking up rifles and they start "going postal"? Does that mean they will eventually be banned as well? The point I am raising here is that it is not necessarily the type of gun that is causing the problem, but the individuals that own them. No one can really tell when an individual is going to have a "mental break down" and lose it, so to speak. But by banning hand guns, are you really taking the threat, or even the act of "going postal", away? How can someone be considered middle class and file bancruptcy over a debt of $11,854? Something doesn't add up. The Bancruptcy Courts would not approve a filing over this amount because most people considered middle class have more than this in equity in their homes? I wonder what the definition of middle class was in this study? Certainly someone who doesn't even have access to this small amount of money isn't middle class by my definition. That's true...Middle class and variations, such as upper-middle class have vastly different income ranges these days. And what one person deems as middle class and another views as middle class are two very different animals it seems. I am also well aware of how easily medical bills can add up. One trip to the emergency room last year, to tell me what I already knew at the time, (that I was perfectly fine except for some terrible bruising and scrapes), cost me over $7000. Ok, so I admit to starting a new diet two weeks ago...and have been trying to stick to it and along with a busy schedule, be active and desperately exercise regularly...and have taken off 10 pounds!!!!!!! I have a lot more to lose...but I feel better and I am eating healthier than I have in several years... I just saw an interview of the dear professor and his lawyer on the O'Reilly Factor. Sounds to me, at this point in time, the idiot is doing damage control. He realized that his bread and butter of traveling from university to university is being axed because he is now well-known for his deplorable beliefs. I agree with this post and what Bill stated above. Germany has made it legal and state that they no longer see the act of prostitution as immoral. Unfortunately, thanks to Germanys attempt to, according to the article, "cut links to organised crime,"women will be forced to work the job or do something possibly more drastic to avoid it. You are mixing apples with oranges...Clinton and Lewinsky was "consensual sex"...and as far as the American public as been informed...ZERO dollars changed hands...meaning...in very simple idiotic terms...no one was paid for the act of sex. Hugh Grant literally got caught with his pants down and in that case it was prostitution and the two individuals in question were charged with such, criminally. I am dealing with it...I have no problem with legalizing it...taxing the shit out of it...and making it mandatory for women to get pelvic exams...and tested for STDs.
