  1. Is this a euphemism for receiving oral sex? Cause I'd be willing to agree to that. well.... I was actually talking about ice cream.
  2. an interesting note: in the states of Texas, Tennessee and Washington (not sure about others), death certificates of executed persons commonly list the cause of death as "Homicide" makes ya think, doesn't it?

I think its just November. Holiday season starting, people travelling, and the like. There weren't a lot of folks on the train this morning either.
  4. he was replying to "Ihateskydivers"'s post, not yours, aub. -K-
  5. Sure... as long as every so often, he doesn't mind getting up and retrieving the pint of dark belgian chocolate godiva ice cream and the appropriate spoon. courtesy and kindness have to go both ways.
  6. I really liked "Home Improvement". Tim was not stupid... a bit lacking in the common sense department, but definitely not stupid. He was a nice guy with good intentions that didn't always work out according to plan. Definitely not too macho to walk over to the fence and have a chat with Wilson when he was confused about life. Jill was Tim's true partner. She was able to just roll her eyes, shake her head, and help clean up the mess, and they'd laugh about it later. She was always supportive of Tim's ideas, even if she knew without a doubt that they meant certain disaster. She was by no means perfect herself, and was subject to stress and bitchiness when life wasn't going her way, and Tim was always able to make her smile, even if it was by doing something goofy. I think it was a good show that reflected some pretty solid family values. Jill didn't even consider divorcing Tim when he dropped a 10 ton beam on top of her car!
  7. woke up at 4:30 am after two hours of sleep. shower. throw clothes on. acknowledge cats. run out door to catch train.
  8. Wing Chun- One of the most popular forms of Gongfu. Most important is the concept of not using force against force, which allows a weak fighter to overcome stronger opponents. Generally, a Wing Chun practitioner will seek to use his opponent's own force against him. A great deal of training is put in to this area, and is done with the cultivation of a concept called Contact Reflexes

  11. its not that dancers and gymnasts are not athletes, they are! Their art requires lots of physical training (and I've taught martial arts to some ballerinas and gymnasts who were soon kicking the tails of more experienced martial artists because of their flexibility and fitness) Many arts have more physical demands than many sports!
  12. Fires are mostly contained/out. Perris and Elsinore have been jumping this week with no problems other than rain and cloud cover.
  13. Personally, I don't think I'd call it a sport: Sports (scored by definite things such as time or goals): Hockey Baseball Basketball Archery Fencing Skiing Wrestling Boxing etc... Arts: (scored more by artistic impression): Ballet Gymnastics Ice Skating Snowboarding (when judged by tricks rather than speed) Skydiving etc...
  14. Perris is 36 miles from my home
  15. That does sound like ADD. (not ADHD... they're two related, but different disorders). He doesn't have a behavior problem, he has a focusing problem. Check with a couple of different doctors to be sure, plus a child psychologist to make sure there isn't any underlying issue (I'm not saying this is the case with your child, but, in describing the ADD symptoms, you've also described the way some children behave if abused or molested...if your child is having trouble focusing and is angry and withdrawn, you have to rule this out. Also, if a child is having seizures, as with epilepsy or other seizure disorders, they can seem to just "zone out" for a few minutes, stare off into space, and look like they're not paying attention. A medical exam and tests can rule this out.). If all three concur that ADD is the appropriate diagnosis, then decide on a course of treatment. Don't rule out drugs, but don't make them your first choice, either. I've seen kids have great success with natural things like biofeedback, and I've seen ritalin and other ADD drugs really help kids too. If he TRULY is ADD, the drugs can be a godsend. Some of my students took their ritalin during the school year, and then went off it over the summer when they didn't need to focus as much. Work with your doctor to find the best course of treatment. ALSO: After you get a diagnosis, work with his school to get an IEP. An IEP is an Individualized Education Plan. It will make sure the school gives him appropriate services, such as more time on tests, copies of the teacher's notes in case he misses something in class, and a seat in the front of the class. There are a lot more things that can be done, those are just a few.
  16. http://add.miningco.com/library/weekly/aa051401a.htm http://www.heall.com/holistic_psychology/adhd.html http://add.miningco.com/library/weekly/aa012702a.htm http://add.miningco.com/library/topics/blfaqdiagnisis.htm As a former educator and someone who is specializing in special education in my graduate program, I have to ask: 1. are you SURE you're not mistaking the normal energy and distractiveness of the average six year old boy for ADD? an overwhelming percentage of those diagnosed ADD are male, and most researchers agree that the majority of these children don't actually have ADD. At age 6, boys and girls have very different abilities to pay attention and focus. 2. can he focus on "fun" things like video games, television programs, or books? If so, perhaps it isn't ADD, but boredom. something I suggested for several of my students with attention and focusing problems was to take martial arts classes. For someone with mild attention problems, doing something that requires that kind of focus is often extremely helpful. Four out of five of my students who tried it had positive results.
  17. hehe... you could always talk to Moody about the hood. That seems to be a popular one.
  18. if you're worried enough to ask the question, repack it and set your mind at ease.
  19. ok... that part of the lip is a BAD place to pierce. Period. The skin is very soft and sensitive and thin, and you move it a lot when talking and eating. The way those piercings are done, judging by the pictures, they are surface piercings (just through the outside or very top of the lip, not actually completely from one side to the other). If you put a surface piercing in an area that moves a lot, they tend to migrate out. migration leaves an ugly scar. if you're going to do a labret, do it below the lip. the skin there is tougher than the actual skin on the lip, so the piercing is unlikely to move. However, I still think you're too pretty to want to distract from your face. When people get those kinds of piercings, all people see are the piercings, not the person, ya know?
  20. no... a piercing like that is distracting. you have such a pretty face that you want people to look at you, not at your piercing, ya know?
  21. hehe... my boss wants to come out and do a tandem.
  22. I worked my way through college tutoring elementary kids in math/science. If you passed high school, you can do this, and charge the parents like $25 an hour. Advertize in church bulletins, and go through your university/college's career center...lots of times they keep tutoring lists. I'd work 10 hours a week and have $250 a week in spending money, while my friends in workstudy jobs would have $50.
  23. hmm... first time with benefits... that's a first... SKYROSE OWES BEER!
  24. YES. Cold water immediately. Blot, don't rub. Seltzer water works great... unsweetened! (ask at your local coffee place that serves italian sodas or a bottle of sparkling water) Nothing with sugar in it, because that'll just make you sticky too. Or just stop by your local grocery and pick up a "shout" stick with the stain remover stuff in it... you'll still be walking around with a coffee stain all day, tho, but it'll prolly come out in the wash if you treat it right away.
