I can't drink it any of those ways! I can drink Lattes and Mochas, but not just black coffee. I like it, but since I have acid reflux, straight coffee makes me sick, so my doctor says I can't have it anymore.

personally, if I was going to buy a canopy, I'd spend the extra $150 and get my own color choices and all that. From my perspective, even though the canopy is worth a certain monetary amount new, its worth less because the person didn't have the option to choose the appearance, and that's worth a lot.

I've heard that raw sugar is better for you than white sugar, but I'm not sure why. It does taste better, though.

from what I heard yesterday, there is still no confirmation of the cause.

How necessary are booties?
Nightingale replied to Nightingale's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I have been advised by several of my AFF instructors that I should get some solid RW skills down first, and then look to freeflying later on. At the moment, I'm more interested in RW anyway. -
well... um... it was on the DMV website.

Are they good for someone's FIRST rw suit? or should I get more experience, and then get a suit with booties? -
From what I can figure out, Kat was real. "MissyMel" and other various identities were the work of a troll.

How necessary are booties for someone who wants to do RW? -
most of the cleanup is done. the burned buildings have been removed. You can rent gear from ground zero as long as you have your A license.

Nightingale replied to TheBachelor's topic in The Bonfire
I'll jump with you!!!!! I'm so sick of solos, and I was planning on being at Elsinore on Saturday anyway. but I'm just a newbie and just got my license, so I don't know what I'm doing yet, ok? -
Perris still has a skyvan. flies most weekends, usually not during the week. I like that plane!

I am moving, and when I get my new apartment, I will acquire a renters' insurance policy that will cover my gear along with my computer and stuff. Insurance is one thing that its more expensive to go without!

they hadn't even seen the canopy. I just told them about it, and they advised me not to buy it, and said they wouldn't pack it. I took their advice and got a 1997 pd 176 instead.

Those of you born under the influence of the Chinese Astrology Element of Earth are wise, serene and prudent, firmly rooted in your morals, ethics and responsibilities. Led by logic rather than emotion, you seek to plan your life as far out in advance as possible, to expect the unexpected and control your destiny down to the last detail. Your disciplined reserve -- which can come across as true grace if you work it right -- garners you respect and admiration. You're so bound by logic and dependent upon controlling your situation that you have a fear of the unknown. Consequently, you question your instincts, distrusting even your most cherished dreams and seeing your whims as frivolous distractions. Don't be a stick in the mud, Earth Signs; share your wisdom and your peace of mind with a needy world. Disciplined Earth Signs are willing to work hard for what they want. http://chinese.astrology.com/elements.html?arrivalSA=1&cobrandRef=0&arrival_freqCap=1&pba=adid=7052080 the other link didn't work for me, so I found this one.

that's the only thing I don't like about watching demo jumps with the US flag. it always ends up getting dragged on the ground for landing.

Year of the Horse If you are born in the Year of the Horse then you are amazingly hard working and very independent. Although you are intelligent and friendly, you can sometimes be a bit selfish. Careerwise you would make a good scientist or poet. Famous people born in the Year Of The Horse: Ian Cuthbertson, Robert Wagner, Rolf Harris, Helmit Kohl, Clint Eastwood,Barbara Streisand, John Thaw, Aretha Franklin Its kinda funny... I was born in the year of the horse, I'm a sagittarius, the horse archer, and I was born on the festival of Posideon, who, in addition to being god of the sea, was also god of horses.

courtesy for your packer
Nightingale replied to PackerBarry's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'm having lots of step throughs because I'm flaring at the wrong time, which is dropping the canopy right on top of my head. -
My rigger will not pack a reserve that old. I was thinking of purchasing some gear with that same age reserve and had three riggers tell me they wouldn't pack it.

I stow my breaks and uncollapse my slider. If I have a step through, I tell my packer that there is a step through, but since I'm a newbie, a lot of times my attempts at "fixing" it just make it worse, so if I'm paying a packer, I don't even try to fix a step through. I pay my packer $7.00 a pack job, plus usually a little something extra at the end of the day.
