I explain exactly what the Targeted Learning Objectives I need to see before we do the jump, then during video debrief I ask them if they thought they completed the TLO's. Most will deside for themselves as to whether they need to repeat. That wouldn't have worked on me... I'd have failed myself on three or four levels that my instructors passed me on. To me pass equals perfect, but to them pass equaled met the objectives. I'd land and say "OMG that dive sucked!" and the instructor would be looking at me saying "what are you talking about?"

Nope. Even in non-combat positions, lives depend on what you do. I don't want somebody's life depending on someone who doesn't want to be there.

Thanks. Actually purchased Petsmart's "Pet Organics No Mark!" months ago. These cats ignore it. :^( Nature's Miracle isn't a marking deterrent, it's an enzyme cleaner that breaks down the urine to get rid of the smell. It won't stop them from peeing, but it will get rid of the stink. Works on carpet too. The vet recommended it when my cat had a UTI and was peeing EVERYWHERE! After the UTI resolved, he kept going back to the same spot because it smelled like pee. I had to pull up the carpet and soak the carpet pad in Nature's Miracle, and keep the cat out of there for a few days. Three days later, I let the cat back in the area, and he didn't pee there anymore.

Sell the stuff on Craig's List; it'll cost you a ton to move it. You can probably replace most of the stuff for free from Freecycle anyway. Keep the rig and your clothes and anything sentimental.

Sorry about your dog. =( (((((((((Hugs!))))))))) As for the cats... Buy some "Nature's Miracle" cleaner at Petsmart. That'll get rid of the smell, but it takes days/weeks for the enzymes in the cleaner to totally work. As for getting them to stop, isn't going to happen. They're not peeing because they have to go, they're marking their turf. The only thing that's going to make them stop peeing is if you start leaving food where they're peeing, and that'll just bring more cats. If you're really desperate, try planting society garlic. It has really pretty purple flowers, but the stuff STINKS! My cat avoids it like the smell will rub off on him. And when you're ready, to solve the problem in the backyard, and perhaps begin to fill the hole in your heart that your furry friend left behind, consider adopting a dog from the one of the breeds that like to guard, such as a shepherd or rottie? Somebody even the bravest of kitties isn't going to tangle with.

If you're going to leave anyway, let your boss or HR know that you're willing to be the one to take the cut because in this economy you're thinking about going back to school anyway or whatever, and you'd rather it be you than someone who really can't afford to lose their job. If you really are leaving anyway, you've got nothing to lose, and the company will probably appreciate having one less layoff decision to make.

So sorry for your loss.

I'm sensing an ex-husband you've previously failed to mention.... Nope. I used to be a karate instructor. Blood happens on occasion in a karate school, and getting blood out of white uniforms and carpets is mandatory! -
Most common questions I got asked as a leasing agent (in order): Schools/districts/rankings Grocery store Laundromat Fancy restaurant Computer/electronics store Family restaurant Mall Adult store Church

Take off the gauze they used to tie it, and run her collar through the straps on the cone. Use the collar to secure the cone. You have a very kind vet if they put you on a payment plan. You may still want to look into the pet insurance in case kitty gets sick or hurt down the road. Warm wishes for a speedy recovery from me and the fur-kids! -

VPI has a "fee schedule" and if it's not on their list (and a ton of stuff isn't), they don't pay, and when they do pay, it's at a nationwide, set rate, which is really low, especially if you live in a high cost of living area. ASPCA will pay for anything except three or four no-nos like organ transplants, and they actually survey the vets in your area and pay 80% of average cost (which, in my experience is dead on, and I live in a pretty pricey area of California, and my vet is one of the more expensive ones). For example, VPI pays a little over $20 for a tooth cleaning. My vet charges a lot more than that, once you include anesthesia (which VPI says isn't necessary, BTW). I think the bill was around $230, and the insurance paid $180 or so. Every person I've met who hated their pet insurance had VPI. Everyone I've met who loved it had ASPCA. My vet had the same experience, and they've actually pulled all the VPI brochures from their counter, and replaced them with photocopies from the ASPCA website. I've had them for a year and a half now, and I have absolutuely no complaints, and have had no problems with getting them to cover anything at all. It's a lot of peace of mind, too. When my dog was sick, they thought it might be parvo, even though he was vaccinated, and they wanted to do a test, and warned me it was expensive. It was easy to say "do whatever you need. We have insurance", knowing I could put the couple hundred dollar (or even couple thousand dollar, if need be) vet bill on Care Credit, and pay it off when the insurance check came in 4-6 weeks. -

www.carecredit.com www.aspcapetinsurance.com My vet bill solutions. I put the vet bills on the care credit card, which gives me zero interest for at least 3 months (up to 12 months, depending on the amount of the vet bills). Then, I send the bills to ASPCA Pet Insurance. They then send me a check for 80% of the average charge for those vet services in my area (they're usually within a few bucks of what my vet actually charges). I use the check from ASPCA to pay off the care credit card, and with the monthly payment I've already made on the card, it's paid off within the 3 month zero interest period. The ASPCA health insurance plan even covers routine care like exams and vaccines. I've saved all my vet bills and statements for the last year and a half, and I've pretty much broken even on the insurance premiums versus the amount I've gotten back from the insurance, but if either of the critters gets really sick, they'll pay up to $5000 per incident, and $13,000 per year. If your girl is like me and will pay anything as long as it's what's best for the critter, pet insurance is a good thing to have, because the question she's asking herself isn't "Is it worth the money?" It's "How am I gonna get the money?" With Care Credit and ASPCA, you don't have to worry. Do NOT, under any circumstances, get VPI pet insurance. They SUCK. -

OxyClean or hydrogen peroxide. Test in an area that won't show first, as it can (rarely) take the color out of some carpets. It will also, however, take the red color out of blood. -

If you don't want someone else to know, don't write it down. I keep a jump diary on my website, and I keep a blog, but nothing I consider private, because someday somebody's gonna read it. That's just what happens with private diaries.

That's why my other credit card is in a block of ice in the freezer. It's there in an emergency, but I have to drive home and get it and defrost it. By that point, I've generally thought better of whatever it was I was going to charge. I do take it with me when I travel, though, but it gets paid off the month after the trip. Initially, the rate is not a problem. However, once you've already gotten yourself in over your head, the rate is a big part of the problem. First, you change your attitude about spending and stop accruing debt. Then, you find a way out of the debt you already have, preferably without tanking your credit with charge-offs or bankruptcies. That's where a lower rate really helps, and a good debt management company can get that for you!
-
You think I didn't try that first? You go ahead and try getting your rate from 24% to 3%. 9% maybe, 6% if I'm really lucky, and that's only because I'm a GOOD customer, who pays my bills on time. The credit card companies already have contracts with reputable debt management companies, because the reputable companies bargain in bulk. They have thousands of clients who will stay with the card company and pay off their debt and not default because of the debt management company. You are just one person. You do not have that much power all on your own. Also, if you have already defaulted, many companies will not negotiate with you at all, knowing full well that you can not take your debt to another company because nobody else is going to give you credit. Your bargaining power is zero.
-
If I'd kept my job, making the credit card payments wouldn't have been too bad, but with going back to school, it would have been really rough, and they made it easy, treated me very well, and were completely up front about their fees. I'd recommend them to anyone.
-
The good ones will find out your income and expenses, and call the credit card companies and negotiate on your behalf. Accellerated got my credit card interest rates dropped from 24.9% to 3%, with no hits to my credit and no missed payments. There are good programs out there. It just takes work to find them.
-
Here you go: Accellerated Debt Management 1-800-810-5250 When I started law school, I put some of my credit cards into a program with these guys, because I needed to lower my payments, because my income was going from, well, having a job, to um...zero. They worked with the card companies to lower my interest rates to around 3% and make the monthly payments something manageable. I'd ended up running up some high credit card debt because my old boss had decided not to find sneaky ways to take away bonuses that his employees depended on to live, and I ended up charging my rent and living expenses for several months until I found a new job. Ended up with about $12K on my credit card. Thanks to Accellerated, I get to make the very last payment on that card next month instead of a few years down the road. I'd recommend them to anybody. The fine print: They do charge a monthly fee of about $20 (which is still less than the interest you save on the credit cards), and while your credit score will not take a ding, the card companies may put a notation on your credit file saying you're in a "debt management program" or "credit counseling", that will stay there for six months after you pay the card off. Then, it goes away, and your credit appears as if the credit counseling never happened. Their website is here. http://www.debtsynergy.com/html/about.html

Can someone help me with the Stock Market?

If a good broker does it, it's investing. If you do it yourself over the internet, it's gambling. -
I've had an 8830 for a while now without a problem.

OMG Thank you, I needed that! I am laughing so hard my eyes are tearing! I have had the week from hell and I read that and I just lost it and now I can't stop laughing and the secretaries are looking through my office door at me like I'm insane, and that thing is SO not safe for work unless you want people thinking you're crazy. That is one of the few things I've seen that is forward-worthy to my Dad!
