I bought an FF2 a few years ago and had difficulty communicating with them directly. I bought through a dealer (dropzone member Miami) and he was always really responsive and very, very helpful, but the company itself was not. There were a few minor problems with the helmet when I got it (I paid to have a cameye installed and it was not and the necessary hardware to install the chin cup was missing) In the long run, even after the frustration dealing with 2KC to get the hardware, I am very happy that I bought the helmet. As many other have said. Do not send money until the rig is shipped to an intermediate, objective person for inspection. It's a great deal. It's too great a deal and it reeks of scam. There was someone in Italy selling Mirage rigs in the same too good to be true price range not long ago who managed to rip off several people. Be careful and don't get greedy. If the seller is honest they should not object to using a proxy for the exchange. If they refuse that's a big red flag. Owned by Remi #?

Did you have magnetic riser covers? I am guessing not if they would not open? I wish. They came out about the same time as my cutaway, which was on a brand new rig.... which is why the covers were so stiff. Oh well. It probably wouldn't have happened if the risers had been stowed correctly. Owned by Remi #?

I've used mine twice. The first time I was in a very stable position under a good canopy but my riser covers didn't open and I couldn't get them open. I don't think I lost more than 100 feet between cutaway and a fully inflated reserve. The guy next to me under canopy(who watched my cutaway) promptly sent his 2 V3's in for a retrofit. The second time I was in a nasty spin and was very unstable when my reserve deployed, but it deployed cleanly and without any problems. Not even line twists. Owned by Remi #?

You are rock solid in your opinion about what your kids should or should not do. Your positive and proactive atitude is wonderful WRT teaching kids how to behave is great but IMO but it doesn't have anything to do with the OP. Your kids aren't sitting in bars paying 2.50 for a beer while they text away on their phones, right? I agree that being distracted by a phone is bad while driving. I've got this setup and I've pulled my reserve handle without a cutaway very recently for a repack. The reserve cable came all the way through the housing. I wish I'd been looking at the pin when I pulled the handle, but just looking at it after closing, it seems to be designed so that the pin should rotate as the cable is pulled and allow the cable to release.
