    Meh. Years ago a guy in this forum offered to come to AerOhio and kick my ass because I accused him of being a homophobe. I told him to bring it and I wasn't suggesting he bring a cup for beer. Most people here are awesome in my opinion. Some will never be my friend. All of the above are entitled to their lives and loves and beliefs.     Are you looking at the ground or are you looking out toward the horizon? There's no telling what your problem is without seeing you in person or on video, but looking at the ground is a common cause of flaring high. The best thing to do would be to have someone (like an instructor ) watch or video your landings and then discuss them with you. Owned by Remi #?

    We had a packing concession at our DZ a few years ago that offered to pay for a repack if one of their pack jobs resulted in a cutaway (at least I heard that this was the offer) They did not assume responsibilty for any lost gear though. It seemed like more of a gimmick to me than anything else. If 1/500 of their pack jobs resulted in a cutaway, they were paying out 65 bucks for every 3000 they earned, or 13 cents per pack job done.     That idea might work in a really competitive market environment. That isn't the norm in skydiving. Changing the repack cycle isn't a "lean year" it's a permanent change. Look... your experience could be different and I don't mean to speak for everyone, but I know that my rigger counts change to see if a trip out for dinner or a movie is in the picture. If he thinks that he needs to charge more for a repack because his volume is down I'll pay. Owned by Remi #?
