None of my "flaming gay" friends would hesitate to find a large, remote hole in the ground for a pedophile who evaded justice... unlike the priests the church let go unpunished.     My understanding from other threads, and in a nutshell, is that if you deploy for yourself at 1000 feet or 1200 feet you are likely to survive. The AAD isn't designed to save you in a situation like that. It's designed to pull you out of the fire without interfering with your ability to save yourself. Owned by Remi #?

    My third jump visiting a new dropzone a few hundred feet from the endless Pacific. At about 4500 feet, it felt and sounded like someone had smacked the cowling of the Caravan I was in with a sledge hammer. After that, silence. After a few seconds, the pilot said that the engine was no good and that we could go or stay as long as we told him what the plan was. I posted more in the link slotperfect provided earlier in this thread. It ended well. All jumpers landed at the DZ and the plane landed on the runway. Owned by Remi #?
