Thanks for sharing. Have fun

No insights or opinions here but it's not a rumor that it's under consideration. It's on the S&T committee agenda for the upcoming board meeting: http://www.uspa.org/news/notices/STAgenda0208.pdf Owned by Remi #?

Lesbians!?!?!?!?.. I am thinking about a gender swap!?!
labrys replied to dannydan's topic in The Bonfire
Men have nothing in the impossible market compared to women. Honest. Men are simple. Take it from a real lesbian. If you're okay with dick, stick with men. Owned by Remi #? -
The mistake I make most often is forgetting to zoom back out after filming a landing. I'm way too green to offer artisitic / technical advise. Owned by Remi #?

Thanks again. The issue appears to have been with UAC. I'm also running an older version of WMM Owned by Remi #?

The camera appears in DM. I've solved some of the problem. I turned off User Account Control and the camera started appearing as a device in the Autoplay control panel. I turned UAC back on and the camera still appeared. Must be a UAC bug (imagine that ) After that, resetting Autoplay for the camera to import video caused the video import to start working when the camera is connected in playback mode. WMM still doesn't allow import from camera but that might be a version issue. Thanks a million for your help Owned by Remi #?

Ah, sorry... Yes, I've tried importing from WMM. There's no import from camera option there. I've also tried looking at all the autoplay options. The camera does not appear as a device (my phone does though) in the autoplay control panel even though it does appear in device manager. Per Sony, the Vista drivers should work. They don't have 3rd party drivers for the camera. The PC5 is listed as compatible with Vista on Sony's web site. Owned by Remi #?

No luck finding it in any view. I'm not convinced that it matters a lot but I would like to try your suggestion if possible. There are no resource conflicts shown for the firewire host controller. When I attach the camera it appears as a Sony DV Camcorder in device manager, but according to what I've read, turning on the cam should spawn an autoplay process that runs a video import wizard. I get nuttin' Owned by Remi #?

I can't locate a firewire bridge. I know it's in network connections with XP, is it somewhere else in Vista? Owned by Remi #?

Hi all, I'm not able to import from my camera to Windows Vista (WMM). When I connect the firewire cable to the PC the camera is correctly detected, but I have no option to import from the camera.... I know that's a bit vague, but if anyone has any experience / suggestions about where to even start troubleshooting the problem I'd appreciate it. Owned by Remi #?

I didn't insist that he had to post here, Bill. I suggested that he's capable of contacting the people who voted for him one way or another. He managed to get the word out to the region that he wanted to be RD without posting it here... he's clearly capable of communicating. He didn't call me personally to ask for my vote. Why should I call him personally to hear his side of the story? Owned by Remi #?

Skill levels permitting... it might also be fun to do a group jump at the end of the day. We had a 2-way scramble at our DZ year before last and it was really fun. But the most enjoyable part of the day was after the competition (I came in dead last, FWIW) when we did a 12 way. Owned by Remi #?

USPA - Jan Meyer Impeachment??
labrys replied to Thanatos340's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I might be misunderstanding your post but item three of the complaint against USPA appears to be a claim that they were trying to monopolize the skydiving business and it was dismissed before the settlement. Owned by Remi #? -
Kip, With whatever respect you might be due.... why didn't you attempt to communicate this information to the people who elected you? If the facts aren't out there then why aren't they? Edit to add: If you want to talk about it, do it right here in public. No need for a private call. Owned by Remi #?

Sounds like you're wondering / implying that Kip's resignation might be because he manages a new DZ and is under some political pressure. That's bullshit. AFAIK, Kip is resigning because he took a 12 year old on a tandem without a waiver and then tried to file a waiver after the fact to cover his ass and he got busted doing it.
