I like my gatorz for everyday wear, but I don't use them for skydiving. They distort your field of view. I did several jumps with them initially. At the end of my swoops I would go to put my feet down and still be a foot farther off the ground than I thought (which strained a knee). Not at all, but I have a funny story about it... When I first started dating Kimberly (my avatar's mommy), she rented a bedroom in a friend's house. In that bedroom, also lived her bird, an ivory white-faced cockatiel named Ivory. Ivory had and incredible gift of mimickry. He would bob his head up and down and click whistling the Adam's family theme. He would also whistle the Husker fight song, give kisses, say pretty birdy and step up. Anyway, one night Kimberly was kissing me slightly south of the beltline when Ivory started bobbing his head up and down smacking his beak on the cage making kissing noises. Needless to say, or interlude was pre-empted by 10 minutes of incapacitating laughter. Well with a good enclosure, the video camera is fine. It is worth noting that this is also an added safety feature. If the rsl side riser breaks and releases the reserve with the other still connected on a conventional RSL, it could be a bad day for you. As for complexity, the difference with the Collins/rsl is thel cutaway cable for the non rsl side feeds through a loop in the lanyard. 15 years CNS as of yesterday. I can't believe how fast the time goes by. Then again, I think the first year was longer than the last 14 all together. I wish I could help you with adjustment, but skydiving was post party years for me. Actually, I think I needed it to continue sobriety. Skydiving definately speaks to a similar need in my psyche. One of the most important things my sponsor ever taught me was to channel those "character defects" in to positive activites.
