We're quoting numbers with no real way of knowing if they are valid. We don't know the total number of cases but we know the number of dead. You can't quote percentages without both.

When will you know? How will you know?

No need to worry about that. Pretty soon I think you'll see people ignoring the advice. We're lucky (probably everyone in here). We have the means to continue for quite some time under these rules. A majority don't.

That assumes half the population will contract the virus?

I get that you don't agree with the message. I wasn't responding to you. When I do that I quote. Still getting that feeling that we might be over reacting a bit. CDC estimates that influenza was associated with more than 35.5 million illnesses, more than 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018–2019 influenza season. Without testing everyone we don't really know the impact and we won't, perhaps ever. I get why we're doing these things now. I get that we don't want to overwhelm the healthcare system. My concern is when do we stop? We can't continue like this indefinitely. How do we know when enough is enough?

“Patients who have been tested for SARS-CoV-2 are disproportionately those with severe symptoms and bad outcomes,” Ioannidis explains. With very limited testing in many health systems, he suggests, that “selection bias” may only get worse going forward.

Perhaps we've found a new use for all those dead MySpace pages.

The major difference between the results in the 2 countries is simply demographics. 28.6% of the population of Italy is over 60. 18.5% of S. Korea. Why South Korea has so few coronavirus deaths while Italy has so many

If you've learned anything from this episode I hope you see how ill prepared any government is to protect you.

If only real life was this way. You'd be able to blindly roll along without any information counter to what you believe.

Show me the money. I'm not dumb enough to believe we don't live in a society that has some socialist policies. I just don't want to go full r#t@*d.

I'd hate to believe scientists can be bought for $750/month. -

Yes. If you can't find actual video of dying bears use CGI. -
Not that I go, but I would stay out of a church for the next few Sundays...

Ohio is basically closed. I'm surprised they just let them go their merry way. Are they screening for a fever or anything?
