Don't look now... The poorest states, based on per capita income, are, from first to last: Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Louisiana, Montana, South Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama, and North Carolina. Of these, exactly half—Arkansas, Kentucky, Montana, North Carolina, and West Virginia—have Democratic governors and three have Democratic majorities in the lower house of their legislature, so these state governments can hardly be classified as completely Republican. On the other hand, only North Carolina voted for Obama in 2008, so in that sense, these states may be leaning Republican.

Great whataboutism Bill. You think Trump is responsible for race riots? So Clinton was responsible for LA in '92. But I digress. How do you solve inner city problems? One word...jobs. How do you bring back employers? make it a business friendly environment. I know business and Democrat don't mix well so I'll just leave it at that.

More excuses from the left. Always easier to dismiss the message than it is to address the problems. 50 years of Dem leadership have produced a shithole city. Want me to name some other Dem controlled cities that are the same? Don't you think the people of Baltimore have been fed enough bullshit from the left about how to fix the problems?

What part of the vid do you think is false?

There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998

Maybe that hole in the ozone layer was supposed to be there. -
I applaud her efforts.

Yup...that's what he said and he was wrong. So was Nancy.

February 2 — Global Air Travel Is Restricted By 5 pm on Sunday, those en route to the United States have to have left China or they can face a 2-week home-based quarantine if they had been in Hubei province. Mainland visitors, however, will need to undergo health screenings upon their return, and foreign nationals can even be denied admittance. Other countries beginning to impose similar air-travel restrictions at this point include Australia, Germany, Italy, and New Zealand. February 3 — US Declares Public Health Emergency The Trump administration declares a public health emergency due to the coronavirus outbreak. The announcement comes 3 days after WHO declared a Global Health Emergency as more than 9800 cases of the virus and more than 200 deaths had been confirmed worldwide. February 10 — China’s COVID-19 Deaths Exceed Those of SARS Crisis The COVID-19 death toll surpasses that of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak from 17 years ago, totaling 908 reported deaths in China in the last month compared with 774 deaths in the SARS crisis. February 24 - Nancy wants to have a party in Chinatown February 25 — CDC Says COVID-19 Is Heading Toward Pandemic Status Explaining what would signify a pandemic, Nancy Messonnier, MD, director of the CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, says that thus far COVID-19 meets 2 of the 3 required factors: illness resulting in death and sustained person-to-person spread. Worldwide spread is the third criteria not yet met at the time. if you think my post qualifies for the :"Stupid Post of the month" have at it.

You mean like when Pelosi was urging people to come to Chinatown?
-
One possibility. I'm thinking overcrowded living conditions...unclean people in general...people who don't believe the pandemic to be real...lots of possibilities.
-
Easy kids. That wasn't a rhetorical statement. I'm honestly dumbfounded that people don't know.

You would think no one knew what protective measures to take.

“While Lori is on national stages talking about how we need to reform police by creating fewer day-to-day interactions between police and citizens, her own city is not allowed to move through the neighborhood or feel the same kind of safety she is claiming to advocate for nationally,” Dean wrote. “As a neighbor, I find protests and actions near her home significantly less disruptive than her response to the protestors, which only aim to keep her from having to listen to the voices of her constituents.” This isn't about other pols Joe. It's about her not wanting to be bothered at home. I think it's particularly hypocritical because of the war zone her city has become. She's taking valuable resources off the beat for her own protection.

That didn't take long. Can always count on you John,

Citing threats, Mayor Lori Lightfoot defends ban on protesters on her block: ‘I have a right to make sure that my home is secure’ The directive surfaced in a July email from then-Shakespeare District Cmdr. Melvin Roman to officers under his command. It did not distinguish between the peaceful protesters Lightfoot regularly says she supports and those who might intend to be destructive, but ordered that after a warning is given to demonstrators, “It should be locked down.” Just another example.

I'm not wanting to debate it either. I simply pointed out that it's been hotter in CA. The article wants the reader to buy into the fact that hot is what the future looks like and it's due to AGW. If that's true then it must have been happening all the way back to the 50's.
-
Well only a glimpse of the past can come close to quantifying the future.
-
I wonder who would have made out better on that.
-
Looks like AGW has been happening in Bakersfield since 1950.
-
Other than at the very beginning please feel free to quote me downplaying the threat.
